We all know there's clearly some uncertainty around the legitmacy of certain votes in certain matches. Obviously this isn't an issue we want in the IWT, but it's one we currently have so we need to come up with a way of eradicating it. This was suggested by Dat Chocolate From Jersey, as well as similar suggestions from MrSackfist and tgill85 What we propose, is a special guest referee match, and this is how it could work. For matches where there is suspected bias or unfair play at work, the match will be made a special guest referee match. There will be a forum account called "Special Guest Referee" - and the voting on the match will be done solely by the 3 users who are picked at random from the list of online users at the time of voting. This means this match will NOT have public voting. To pick the 3 random voters, we will look at the online list and whoever is "most recently active" will be #1 and who ever was "least recently active. i.e the last person on the online list" will be the last number, say #28. Then we will use random.org to pick 3 numbers between 1 & 28. Then we go down the list, and whoever is those numbers will be the special guest referees. Then, one at a time, the selected voter will be PM'd the temp. password of the account, and they will simply reply to the match thread saying: "I am voting for 'X' user." Once all 3 votes have been cast, the winner will be announced. If it's a larger multi-man match, then there will be more voters required. It is up to the user who is chosen as to whether or not they want to reveal their identity (ONLY AFTER THE MATCH HAS COMPLETED) or whether they want to remain anonymous. They won't be forced too. So what do you guys think, or do you have any tweaks you'd like to see? Let us know! Cheers.
