Breaking News: BFG to be held in Tokyo, Japan

  1. TNA just announced at their press conference with Dixie Carter and the Great Muta in New York City that TNA's biggest PPV, Bound For Glory, will be held Sunday, October 12, in Tokyo, Japan at the Korakuen Hall.

Maximum capacity of the venue is around 2300. TNA should have no problem to sell it out along with the help of Great Muta and his WRESTLE-1 organization.

Road to BFG starts tonight with first night of the NYC tapings.

Here's some photos from the press conference:

  2. This'll be tricky to pull off with the timezones I'd imagine. Japan is like like 12-14 hours ahead of the states. If they want to run it live, won't they have to run it at like 10-11 in the morning in Japan?

All power to them for trying this though
  3. :rollins: whoa shit... TNA lead PPV goes international... this is great news.

  4. Nah bro, TNA is going out of business. They're dead.

Dixie close the door it over

  5. Not yet, give it a chance. But if the storyline goes kerplunk then yeah close the doors, but I really wanna see this.
  6. LOL I was joking. I'm the biggest TNA supporter here on the site. I was mocking BLFFL , haters, internet "fans" and co. for always saying that stuff like TNA is gone and dead, close the doors etc. Shame you don't recognize my name value.

  7. I just take everything literally man, I knew something didn't add up for a minute but thought you were serious my bad
  8. Smart move. Vanilla midgetland is perfect for TNA.

  9. Sounds cool, but I guess we won't get to hear the English chants. I was hoping for Canada, with Roode being from there. :p
  10. Pondering the implications. I guess aggressively entering the japanese market is a good idea if it works out in the end, so... it's fine.
  11. TNA UK fans begged TNA for years to do BFG in the UK.... and TNA gives them this, lmao in your face UK fags! I mean, fans!
  12. Yep, I want to see BFG in the UK next year! Heck, maybe even Canada (I expected them to do that this year, because of how big EY and Bobby Roode are in their storylines).

Also, that trailer is pretty cool. They need to make trailers featuring some high impact moves (pun intended) and show that in Japan.
  13. This company deserves a great showing.
TNA is only twelve years old and they have done a fantastic, with a few hiccups along the way.
Dixie Carter is a ditz, which has retarded the company's growth, but her enthusiasm should be applauded.
The company isn't perfect and needs plenty of help. If anything, fans should be less cynical and give this company a fighting chance.

  14. How can you not be interested in this? Fantastic news.

  15. So will the PPV air on tape delay because of the timezone difference? If so, that's going to be a bit of an issue for PPV buys which probably won't be good in the first place.
  16. I'm hearing tape delay indeed. But hey what else can they do?

Viewers who wanna buy the PPV will buy it, no matter it it's live or happened idk 10 hrs ago? Just stay away from wrestling sites. I know that'll be my drill.
  17. That would make sense, assuming it would happen at like 7 am Japan time if it happened when it normally would USA time.

Ehh, I'd say so. I'll definitely check out results to see if it's good or not, and I'll be getting the PPV free on Challenge in the UK. Also, I just hope the crowd isn't dead because I enjoy it when we get the chants in a good match. Boosts it right up to a better match.
  18. Both these guys are right. This PPV won't disappoint. There's no way it will disappoint.
WM may disappoint in some respects, but BFG has potential to satisfy fans up and down the card (this year in particular)
If TNA can get away from handing victories to the grizzled vets (just for the simple fact), BFG could outdo WM in terms of pure quality.
