Forensic artist draws women how they see themselves vs. how others see them

  1. For the many who will not give a shit: :pP

Still, to me this is both a bit interesting and a bit "duh." Cool to watch though, I thought.

  2. IMO women care more about being beautiful to compete with other women. I've seen it time and time again, with previous gfs, when they knew a girl they didn't like was going to be at a function they'd try so much harder to look better. Same goes with the being thin thing. It's obvious most men want women with curves, yet women care about being thin to compare it to their friends/frenemies(such a dumb word). Women need to realize that competition isn't as fierce as you think. Although you outnumber us 2 to 1, there's still an overwhelming chance that there's a guy out there that'll want you. Fuck what your girl friends think or say.

I realize that was a jumbled up post filled with random thoughts. Sorry if it was hard to understand, lol :dawg:

  3. It's sad how body image has dominated so many women and how they perceive themselves. I wish most women liked themselves for who they are rather than trying to compare themselves and meet the standards of other women around them and supermodels. I think Dove is making a nice first step with these videos and I hope they continue to do this.

  4. :haha: No worries, it still makes sense! It is largely a competitive thing, as women typically view themselves in comparison to other women they encounter -- whether it's to try to look better than another female they don't like or to have better odds of attracting a mate or both. But yeah, with women it's largely a matter of comparison. It's near impossible for a woman to look at herself just as herself, without mentally comparing herself to other women she knows or comes across. Sad, really.
