Ring of Honor’s “Honor Rising Night 2” is in the books and Korakuen Hall was sold out as fans witnessed another night of incredible action featuring the stars of Ring of Honor & New Japan Pro Wrestling.

    Jay White defeated David Finlay

The New Zealander White beat the fourth-generation Finlay with a Boston Crab in a crisp match that featured two of the top "Young Lions" in the NJPW Dojo.

Jushin "Thunder" Liger & IWGP Junior Heavyweight Tag Team Champion #reborn Matt Sydal defeated Delirious & Gedo

Sydal and the legendary Jushin "Thunder" Liger kept their opponents off balance to ensure victory against the unlikely pairing of the crazed Delirious and veteran Gedo, who faced each other at "Honor Rising - Night 1".

Dalton Castle defeated "The Heavy Metal Rebel" Frankie Kazarian

Kazarian looked to use his international experience advantage to lead him to victory but Castle gained advantage in the final moments to score a win with “Bang-a-Rang”. Making his Japan debut at “Honor Rising”, Dalton was one of the most popular ROH stars throughout the two-day event.

    Eight Man Tag Team Match
Katsuyori Shibata, Hirooki Goto & reDRagon (Bobby Fish and Kyle O’Reilly) defeated BULLET CLUB (“Machine Gun” Karl Anderson, Doc Gallows, Bad Luck Fale & Tama Tonga)

BULLET CLUB dominated early on and looked to be on their way to victory, especially during moments of tension between partners Shibata and Goto. Later, the former IWGP Intercontinental Champion, Goto, almost got the win over Anderson but while Fish and O’Reilly kept Fale and Tonga busy, Shibata hit Gallows with the PK for the victory.

IWGP Junior Heavyweight Champion KUSHIDA & Moose def. Los Ingobernables de Japón (Tetsuya Naito & BUSHI)

Moose continued his domination in Japan. With the fans all chanting "Moose" he hit his signature “Hit Stick” on BUSHI to score the win for his team. The former NFL star and KUSHIDA showed great chemistry as a team but Los Ingobernables would be heard from later in the evening.

    Six Man Tag Team Match
Hiroshi Tanahashi, "Mr ROH" Roderick Strong & "Unbreakable" Michael Elgin defeated CHAOS (IWGP Heavyweight Champion Kazuchika Okada, ROH World Television Champion Tomohiro Ishii & YOSHI-HASHI)

The main focus here was Strong trying to get to Ishii, who beat Strong at “Honor Rising Night 1” to win the ROH World Television Championship. The CHAOS team fought valiantly but Yoshi-Hashi got caught up in the grip of Elgin and fell to the "Elgin Bomb".

After the match, Strong grabbed the title away from Ishii and spat at the new champion. A brawl broke out between the new and former champion.

IWGP NEVER Openweight 6 Man Tag Team Championship
BULLET CLUB - IWGP Intercontinental Champion Kenny Omega and the Young Bucks (Matt Jackson & Nick Jackson) defeated Toru Yano & The Briscoes to win the titles.

Omega won his second championship this week as he and the Young Bucks captured the titles. Bullet Club muscle, Cody Hall, played a big role in the win while the Briscoes proved to be able to fight off the interference. Highlights included a spectacular Briscoe double team throw of Nick Jackson over the corner to the floor, a double “Indytaker” from Bullet Club as well as multiple dives and Superkicks.

    Main Event
    Ring of Honor World Championship
ROH World Champion Jay Lethal defeated IWGP Heavyweight Tag Team Champion Tomoaki Honma to retain the title.

Homna brought the fight to ROH World Champion but Lethal gave him and Japan a taste of why he is the "Greatest First Generation Wrestler". Honma used his “Kokeshi” headbutt early and often to score several near falls. But in the end, a potential new allegiance helped Lethal to the win.

After ROH Senior Official Todd Sinclair was knocked to the mat, Naito, BUSHI and EVIL (Los Ingobernables de Japón) got involved and assisted the champion over Honma. After the match, Lethal attempted to shake hands with a crying, disappointed Honma post-match, only for BUSHI to spew black mist, burning Honma's eyes.

This attack as well as post-match comments seem to confirm an alliance between The House of Truth & Los Ingobernables de Japón.

Fans can see “Honor Rising” for free on upcoming episodes of Ring of Honor Wrestling Television or by subscription at NJPWWorld.com.
