How will CM Punk fair as a professional mixed martial artist?!
Misleading thread title is misleading.
Having said that, the Green Power Ranger has apparently straight-up challenged him to an MMA fight. So, there's that.
he would get raped in MMA.
JDF would fuck up Punk. Jason>>>>
That being said, I don't think Punk would last to long with his banged up body.
CM Punk in legit fighting?
That is ridicilous on so many levels and not funny at all. It's less funny than Kurt Angle trying to cross to MMA, lulz.
No he wouldnt CM Punk can clearly fight hes trained in all mixed martial arts
Kurt crossing to MMA is laughable ? Even given his injuries his wrestling pedigree would have been fun in the early 2000s. Coleman or Kerr vs Kurt would have been a hoot and even when he was talking about it last year it wasn't laughable.
He's also always injured. He's not the fastest guy either, he'd be on his ass before he knew what was going on.
No, Punk would get so fucked up he would end up looking like a rock is coming out of his head after a fight.
Not even because of his body....punk can't really fight. lol
Please tell me you're kiddin....
Punk's gonna get his ass kicked.
Green ranger would mop the floor with Punk YA! ZIG-YA!
Yeah JDF would fuck up CM Punk!
He's going to get tore up in Bellator.. He got injured a decent bit in WWE, I imagine he's going to injured on the reg in MMA.
Now, on the other hand, Jericho in MMA........
Of course, Jericho can do anything.
Edited the misleading thread title
In Bellator he'd be fighting what twice a year max? I don't see him going into any tournies or anything that's gotta be easier on the body than bumping a few hundred nights a year.
lionsault off the mma cage....I can see it now.
Now, to business. I know, there's a lot of MMA fans here bagging on CM Punk (and I would suppose they'd bag on others....hell, they even went after Kurt Angle....who attempted or might attempt the move from pro wrestling to MMA) for his in-real-life fighting "ability" or their perceived lack thereof (I mean, nobody's ever successfully transitioned from pro wrestling to MMA, right?......). A lot of what I see are people talking about injuries and lack of conditioning. What I think should be mentioned is the sheer toughness most of these guys exhibit on a regular basis. Now, I don't know what Punk's real-life combat training background is, but it's obvious that he, like most other "technical" wrestlers has had some kind of real training. I don't know if that translates well to the cage or octagon or whatever the hell they fight in, but I think those who are automatically dismissing Punk's (or any pro wrestler's) capability to transition into "real fighting" are doing him a grave disservice. I think that, if he were training for three to six months in preparation for an MMA fight, he would be prepared and I feel he's exhibited the right kind of toughness that he wouldn't go down easy and might just be able to put together enough fighting moves to win a few matches.
Of course, I say this because I don't like MMA. I prefer my violence scripted or where it belongs...on a football field.
