Very nice ratings. Their best ratings since like 6 months.
Did it deserve this rating or was it another random change?
Gonna go watch TNA actually. Haven't seen it but I heard Hogan was back and there was a good brawl.
Hogan was back, didn't do much (Just come back from back surgery), Brawl was good. Ratings were deserved.
their ratings are all over the place.. hope it doesnt drop next week this episode was an 8.5/10 for me
Did you watch the whole episode Vincent, I can't remember if you were in the iMPACT discussion thread?
I was in the thread for a bit then i couldnt cope with consciousness anymore.. so i watched it on youtube the next day
Last week was ehn.
I actually didn't love the episode that much. Go figure
Ah okay, I know right. I was quite tired myself, hence the low amount of posts in the thread.
What was it that caused the really high viewership? Was it the tease of Sting and the TNA Roster vs the Aces and Eights? Was it the return of Hulk Hogan? Was it the Claire Lynch Paternity Test? Was it the lack of many pro sports coming on against it (outside of preseason football?)
IMO it was probably Sting and Hogan vs Aces & Eights. Which sucks
I hated the ep because there wasn't enough Joe, Roode, or Aries
It probably was. That would have been okay had those two guys not hogged so much of the spotlight. It would have been nice for all the new (old) viewers who can't let go of their "American Hero" to see just how awesome the rest of the talent is... ya know, let Hogan bring the eyes to the product but let that awesome trio keep them there.
Maybe the way Aries was beat down at the end of the show will mean not only will he be spotlighted, but that the new viewers will get behind him.
I gave it a 6 just because the AJ/Claire storyline is over, but there just wasn't much good about it.
I thought the show was decent. Like mentioned above, I wish they'd spent more time focusing on their young talent and less focused on Hogan and Sting. Maybe that's the point of this storyline, that it will let Sting and Hogan push the spotlight onto Aries, Roode, Storm, etc. That's my hope, at least.
I'm glad the Claire Lynch storyline is over. The only thing that made that whole affair the least bit watchable was the awesomeness of Daniels. Now, maybe we can see a solid Daniels-Styles feud (again? Okay with me) without the outside b.s.
Generally, TNA could teach WWE some things about writing storylines recently. I think they're putting on a generally, better-quality show of late.
