I guess that would be alright?
Punks foot was on the rope after the 3 count. Punk shouldnt have waited so long to put his foot on the rope
That would be totally gay.
His foot was on the rope way before the 3 count....
I like the instant replay idea, but here's a flaw.
There's been one case of screwing up since this time last year at SummerSlam, again between Punk/Cena.
Overusing a story burns it out sharp.
So essentially they are just eliminating any chance of future angles which revolve around a referee fuck up. Point, exactly?
no. they would just forget about continuity if they wanted to do that.
Also if you're going to use Instant Replay, heels would never win.
mustve have been watching a vid with delayed audio or something, my bad
Not a very good idea, it'll stop them from making some match endings where the ref screws up and/or the heel cheats.
Ending overdone corrupt referee angles =
Ending dirty finishes, a key part of the wrestling business for years -
This is stupid. It eliminates like 99% of heel endings...
And the endings that do break through will result in "Why didn't the ref just check the replay?". How can heels win matches dirty now?
I thought the ref's name was Chad Patton
Chad Patton was the ref involved in the Sheamus story. Brad Maddox is the ref involved in the current wwe title picture
I'm wathcing Raw right now cause I'm working on my Raw Recap. They've called him Chad Patton like 8 times already.
Wasn't Brad the one who got the call wrong last week on RAW? Chad is the one who worked NOC.
The ref in the main event match is Brad Maddox, he is a former FCW wrestler
Chad Patton was the ref who worked the NoC match, Brad Maddox worked another completely unrelated match on Raw (I don't think you've already watched it), who's involved in unrelated controversy.
I'm afraid we're going to get stupid shit like a referee not checking replay after Sheamus wins the way he did at Summerslam... and it would be okay because "ADR deserved it".
Can understand wanting to treat wrestling like a sport like many fans do, and guaranteeing clean finishes, but when you're competing with a real, legitimate sport in MMA you need to show what separates pro wrestling and makes it enjoyable.
I'd like to see a company like ROH try this, where they love competition and clean finishes... but not WWE. This just screams Vince seeing what's going on in the sports world and copying it in a desperate plea for mainstream acceptance.
They could have changed his name.
Ah yes my illiteracy has gotten the best of me again. My apologies.
Don't worry man.
