Payback Is Dean just a body?

  1. I can't tell if he's going to be part of a big swerve involving The Shield, or if he's just there so Orton doesn't get pinned. What do you think will happen?

  2. The dirtsheets reported that since WWE are planning on booking Rollins/Lesnar/Reigns as the main event of Summerslam, they made the main event of Payback a fatal four-way instead since they didn't like the idea of having two triple-threat matches so close together (especially since Rollins and Reigns will be apart of both of them.)

I do expect Ambrose to be the one to take the pinfall, but I doubt he was added just for that reason. I don't really see the issue with Orton taking a pinfall since he did just that on Raw this past Monday unless they just want to save his first pinfall loss on PPV since turning babyface for Bray Wyatt at Summerslam (which is a match that I feel is more likely than not to happen there.)

  3. Rollins/Reigns/Lesnar would make a cool match for SummerSlam but how the hell would you write Dean or Orton out of the story?
Although if the advertisement for the future is legit than yes I have to say he'll be the one to eat the pin.. Reigns will Spear Rollins at some point midway through and as he's going for the pin, Orton will RKO Reigns, but then Ambrose will get Orton with the Dirty deeds, Ambrose goes for the pin and then Boom, Seth Rollins wakes up and ends up getting Dean good and ending it before Reigns can make the save to continue the match...
  4. Would be a solid win for Wyatt if that happens. I have no idea how either one of them (Wyatt/Ryback) will look good. Orton would be a solid fit with Wyatt, I think they'd work some top class matches if they had a feud. Ambrose will most likely be pinned in a last moment sort of scenario...I do think it's a little cheap for them to have Ambrose job at the end but hey that's the WWE lol.
  5. Ambrose is there to eat the pin.

A Shield reunion is something I wouldn't mind, although it wouldn't make a whole lotta sense right now.

  6. They'd only ruin it if they re-united The Shield. They had an awesome run, the only way it could have been better would have been the triple threat match between them... when it was still hot. Like you said, it would make zero sense to have them join together again and honestly, I'd be less than happy about it if they did.

My interest in Ambrose (well, the product as a whole really) took a major nose dive until this week. I guess Ambrose probably is there just to eat the pin, but I can see that match being ridiculously good, so it's worth it.

  7. Correct.

But yeah, the ex-Shield triple-threat is prolly being saved for a much bigger event, like SummerSlam or WM. It's bound to happen.
  8. I think I'm the only person who feels like the time for that passed. It's been so long since they split and they've all just gone down seperate paths (some more successful than others) I don't trust the creative team to write it well either, in fairness.

  9. The one cool thing about turning both Reigns and Ambrose heel and having them become Seth's new muscle (other than it being a genuinely shocking and unexpected moment) is that we'd get to finally see 'The Shield' target Brock Lesnar when he challenged Seth Rollins for the WWE Championship at Summerslam.

To date, The Shield has targeted and decimated nearly everyone who's relevant at some point (John Cena, HHH, Undertaker, Randy Orton, Batista, Sheamus, Big Show, Daniel Bryan, CM Punk, Ryback, Kane... hell, they even attacked The Rock) except for Brock Lesnar. He's the biggest star to date who's been spared the wrath of their vicious gang attacks, and so when he and Rollins clashed at Summerslam, it would be cool to see the three of them gang up on Brock and triple-powerbomb him through a table or something (or hell, maybe put him through both tables and then triple-powerbomb him once in the ring, too... a trifecta of their triple-powerbomb signature move, on top of hitting all of their individual finishers on him as well), which will lead to them standing over a fallen Brock with their fists pumped together and spending the next subsequent several weeks talking about how they've now conquered The Beast and stuff.

Beyond that, there's pretty much zero good to come out of turning Reigns and Ambrose heel and having them become Rollins' whipping boys, nor is that one awesome moment I mentioned above worth it.
  10. Basically, yes. But there's nothing really wrong with that.
  11. Dean is the next champ. Haters gonna hate. Dean was added because Vince got his head out of his ass and realized that there's other talent besides roman. That's why dean won at extreme rules and now beat Seth.

  12. You're a bit too optimistic about this. Don't be, you'll end up being disappointed.

I'd love to see him as champ somewhere down the road, though.
  13. Lol it was total sarcasm bro
