The lights in the arena dim and the arena goes silent. At 0:20, Nick emerges onto the stage to a massive hometown pop in The Garden, wearing his t-shirt available at the IWTShop and black tights. He moves down the ramp, pointing at signs and fans, taking in a resounding "NICK" chant. He enters the ring and raises his arms to another pop. Flashing a smile, he goes over to the side, grabs a microphone, and waits for the crowd to simmer down.

"I wish I could take in this moment some more, but I've got business to take care of tonight. Because you know, I've got a match tonight, against some new guy from LA."

The crowd starts booing, with some members throwing up east side signs and chanting various areas around NYC in a mess.

"You see, people from LA, like him, never seem to have something so basic. Something that all of us in the arena have known about our whole lives. Whether you're from Brooklyn, The Bronx, Staten Island, Queens, or right here in the big city of Manhattan *cheap pops all over the shop* you know this one, essential key to life. You have some respect. And this nobody named Ryan Davis has no respect for anything. He disrespected me, and anyone that's ever held that prestigious title by challenging for it after just 1 match. So I'm gonna do what I told him I would do almost 2 weeks ago... I'm gonna beat the respect into him."

The crowd starts cheering, but Nick tells them to settle down.

"Let's compare our accomplishments, why don't we? I have won the World Title, saved the X-Division, beaten about half of the hall of fame inductees, and headlined multiple shows. And since you seem to think I'm 'washed up', let's see what I've done recently. Just in the past few months, I've beaten Aids Johnson and his goons, Dat Kid, Spawn, and Frank the Jock. And let's see here you..... you beat WUK."

Nick looks up to the camera and smirks.

"But I suppose I can cut you some slack, right? I mean, you are a rookie who has no place even stepping foot in the ring with me, after all. Let me explain something to you. The reason I wanted this match wasn't to have a dick measuring contest (which I'd clearly win) or to brag about how I've accomplished more than you ever will. This is to show you and any of those new, wannabe wrestlers that you don't just demand a title match and get it. You earn it. You have to pay your dues, put in the work, and grind your way up the ranks.

The crowd claps and causes Nick to pause briefly.

"And you haven't done any of that, Ryan. So I'm gonna knock you back down to Earth, and make you realize you are at the bottom of the totem pole and haven't done shit. You can come out here and try to prove that you're ready for that world title match by trying to beat me, but everyone knows that you'll come up short and FAIL just like every other rookie that was in over their heads."

  3. A video begins to play on the tron of Ryan who is seemingly at a local store. He is at a counter, placing a picture onto it as he speaks to the employee.

Ryan: Hello, I am Ryan Davis. My Social Security Number is 068---

Employee: No need for that kind of imformation. Would you like this picture framed?

    Ryan: Hey, what's your name?

    Employee: Elizabeth.

Ryan: You're cute. Can I take you out on a date?

Elizabeth: Absolutely not. I refuse to be in a relationship with immature douchebags like yourself.

Ryan: I can call you my Miss Elizabeth. Anyways, I want this framed. It is very important.

Elizabeth begins to frame the picture while she begins to talk.

Elizabeth: Who is this handsome stud? Is he your brother?

Ryan: Oh no, this is my opponent tonight. He's pretty much a huge loser. I'm going to beat him with no challenge, no biggie, no biggie. Maybe even murder him.

    Elizabeth: Murder?!?

Ryan: Oh sorry, I don't actually mean murder, it's just kayfabe, hyping the match and all.

Elizabeth: Isn't kayfabe that thing where wrestlers are in character and stuff to make the show feel real? Is that what you're doing right now?

Ryan: No, I'm not an asshole, no kayfabe here, what you see right now is the real me baby doll.

    Elizabeth: Ugh.

Ryan: You're in love with me, I know you are.

Ryan, who is in a white robe and followed by Jeff make his entrance onto the stage. The two stop and wait while Elizabeth walks up to them, holding up a framed picture of Nick. Jeff gets on his hands and knees while the music continues. In sync with his entrance music, Ryan runs across the stage, leaps off of Jeff's back while Elizabeth tosses the picture in the air. Ryan catches it and slams it into the ground with glass shattering all over the place. Ryan and his posse remain on the stage while he begins to talk.

Ryan: Hello people of this arena!

Ryan is responded to with a chorus of boos as he looks absolutely disgusted by it all.

Ryan: I am not the one you should be booing. No, it should be him, the man in the ring! I just came into this company and it's now in the public that he is a washed up has-been "veteran" who is jealous of a guy like me who has infinitely more talent than he will ever have. I mean, does he have an Elizabeth?

Ryan pauses before yelling into the microphone.

Ryan: This is Miss Elizabeth and she's 7-8 at best...AND YOU CAN'T............DENY....... THAT! And this right here, this is Cameraman Jeff and he's 5'9 AND YOU CAN'T........DENY......THAT!

Ryan: I hope to the heavens that you don't just want to brag about your accomplishments.

Before Ryan continues, he and his crew begin walking down the ramp.

Ryan: I hope that's true because I'm serious when I say I could not give any less of a damn about what you have done here.

The fans boo as he enters the ring.

Ryan: And don't say anything because I already know what's going to come out of that mouth of yours. You're going to say that I should say that, that I should have respect for you, these people, the company and my fellow wrestlers, right? Well my response to that is I couldn't give any less of a damn about that either.

The fans' boos become even louder now, it's thunderous in the arena.

Ryan: You can't just walk out here and present yourself as this almighty hero who fights for respect and blah blah blah when a little while ago when this match was being set up, I asked you if you were man enough to put your golden ticket for a World title match on the line in this match and what did you do?

Ryan now faces the crowd to continue speaking.

Ryan: What did your hero do? Well, he didn't do anything. Absolutely nothing. No response or anything. For a guy saying I have no chance in this match, he sure isn't man enough to put that ticket on the line. You want to know why, morons? It's because he's scared, scared because he knows he's going to lose. He knows everything I say is true. So with that, even if I had respect for your little hero over here, I would have lost it when I found out he isn't a man. Instead I just found out that he's just one sorry bitter son of a bitch!

After saying that, Ryan turns back to Nick who is closer than before, they are face to face.
  4. Nick stares Ryan in the eyes for a few seconds, but then can't help smiling and letting a laugh out. He takes a few steps away, and tosses Ryan a piece of mint gum.

"Wow! The only thing that stunk more than your promo was your breath! Take that, please bud."

He waves his hand in the air for a few seconds.

"I kinda saw this whole spiel coming before you even came out. That's the typical edgy, narcissist heel in his first few matches speech. Break a little 4th wall, get that inverse Marcus Anthony heat, and drop a couple of naughty words. You've got that routine down to a tee."

He sarcastically claps and scans Ryan.

"That schtick can work against discount FTJ or some other rookie, but not a former World Champion, and one of IWT's top stars. You wanna know why I didn't put my Golden Ticket on the line? It's the same reason we're about to fight in this very ring. Respect. You haven't earned my respect, so you haven't earned an opportunity to take the ticket. You don't seem to understand that you shouldn't even be standing in the same building as me, let alone in the ring with me. The only reason you're here is to be made an example of. You're going to be a reminder of what happens when you disrespect your superiors and get too cocky. You get hurt, and you get hurt bad. You're gonna lose, and you'll continue to lose. You'll be lucky to even reach a match of this importance again in your career.

Nick pauses briefly and begins walking towards Ryan's entourage. He points at Elizabeth and motions for her to come over to him, remembering what she said about him earlier. She starts to walk over to him but stops, not sure if she should leave Ryan or not. Nick meets her halfway and grabs her hand, then kisses the back of it, the crowd taking interest. He winks at her and walks back to his side of the ring, alone.

"I may not have a Miss Elizabeth right now, but I think at the end of the night I will. And that's not the only thing I'll take from you. At the end of the night, I will have your girl, I will have ended your undefeated record, I'll probably take your posse from you, I'll still have my Golden Ticket, and I'll have taken your pride from you. Everything you've got, I'm gonna take from you and you'll never get it back. All you'll be left with is your first loss and respect for me."

  5. Ryan: I can't believe you're still harping on respect. How many times do I have to say it to finally get you to understand? I don't care about getting your respect, giving you respect, showing respect, having respect, none of it! IWTMania, I made my debut. You already know who it was against, it was Blackfire.

Ryan steps closer to Nick and speaks a little louder.

Ryan: My first match was against Blackfire. Do you realize how embarrassing that is? It's disgusting, it really is. But, I conquered him. I beat him clear as day and forced him to change his name to I Got Beat by Ryan Davis. I even made him retire after that. However none of that changes the fact that my debut match on the biggest stage of them all was against Blackfire. You want to talk about respect? Where was any of that when Michael booked me in that match? Where were you backstage that night to wish me luck or to say you're looking forward to seeing what I could do or even acknowledging that I exist? Right, there was none. I got not even the slightest respect from anyone here and I was placed in a match with Blackfire? Now you want to come out here and preach to all of these idiots that I need to be taught a lesson in respect? Well no thank you, from what I've seen of respect here is nothing I want to do with. But no matter how I have been treated here upon arrival, I've made a name for myself. You cannot deny that.

Nick shakes his head across the ring while Ryan continues.

Ryan: Stop shaking your head, you know it's true. Did I make my IWT debut at the biggest show of the year and possibly ever? FACT. Did I win in my match cleanly and fairly? FACT. Am I the one who had his first ever opponent change his name to a statement saying that he got beat by me? FACT. Did I, in my first month Nick, so take note, force said opponent into retirement? FACT. Did I have the balls to challenge the World champion to a title match having only competed once? FACT.

Ryan: Yeah, so you keep talking about respect while I keep rising up in the rankings to my eventual glory while you flounder in your mediocrity. The problem with what you're saying isn't just that you and this company is filled with hypocrisy, it's that all of this talk about respect isn't real. It's just your gimmick. You like being the "veteran," and Nick I use that term very loosely when talking about you, that wants to "gives the rookies a lesson in respect." You paint yourself as a hero while in reality, you're a shell of what you once were. I said it before and I'll say it again because it's true, but you can talk about respect all day and list what you've done in your career, but right now you're standing in the ring against a guy who's only had one match in the company before this and that speaks volumes to what your career has been. If this is what your career is because what you've done is give and get respect, I don't want it at all. If you didn't interrupt my challenge to Aids Johnson, what would you be doing tonight? Yeah I don't know either. Doesn't it scare you, being so uncertain whether you have a place on the card when you're a former World champion, the guy who saved the X-Division and someone who defeated multiple Hall of Famers? In reality Nick, I'm actually saving your career. It's just sad that after this match I'll be the one to end it.

Nick goes after Ryan, but he hides behind Elizabeth.

Ryan smirks from behind her as he faintly says....

Ryan: Have fun watching me accomplish everything you did for years in just 6 months.
