  2. *Corey Marcus walks out to cheers, he is wearing an Asking Alexandria tank top and a Devil Wears Prada SnapBack, he looks at another "Know Hope" sign, then gets in the ring, Norma Jean cuts off*

"I've waited for too long for this. Longer than Dylan Gray has had a decent winning streak and relevancy here. Forget my match with Reagan Cole, forget my match with Will Savat even, this is something new and different. Dylan, I am not overlooking you, I am highly invested in you. You are a man who does bust his ass here in IWT, unlike some people who think prestige here all comes from past pedigrees, Will... anyway what I don't like is what I said before, how you treat yourself. You barley show anything unique, you barely try to make a great stick out. Instead you make everyone lose interest in you as you blab on and on. It's obvious really, your colors have ran far and dry."

"I talk a lot about the morale of colors don't I? It' really important, I hold mine, I never let them run. I sit in my happy place, discriminate myself from everyone, then I fight to show it. Maybe if you were to follow me Dylan, you wouldn't be stuck in the Gray. The walls you have built and put yourself behind, they are deeper on the inside, and it was these walls you have been building since day one of your existence."

*Strolls around the ring a second*

"How about this, let's make a deal friend.. *smirks* I show you in this ring, in the form of a lesson, how to demolish those walls, I show you how to build a house, a house called 'Reputation'. A sturdy building in which you can have the right to live in. And maybe, just maybe, you can prove to those, your neighbors, your friends, your enemies, those you want to destroy, you can prove to them once and for all how much your importance is here in the IWT, how much you have been overlooked and how much how much you re really capable of. So what do you say? You like that? There is only one answer I will take as a yes, and that is you coming out here and facing me in this ring."

*Cheers, Corey lowers mic, looks to stage*

  3. Dylan Gray walks out at 0:21 to Bad Vibrations by A Day To Remember, he walks out wearing a signature D-Gray shirt, he stares at Corey Marcus from the top of the ramp as he starts strolling his way down to the ring, ignoring the crowd as they boo, Gray climbs into the ring and grabs a mic as he circles the outskirts of the ring as Corey Marcus watches on, he stops at the top right corner of the ring and puts the mic to his mouth:

"You see, Corey, you can talk the talk all you like, go on about morale and colors all day for all I care, but they thing is, can you back it up in the ring? Every since that devastating loss at IWTMania, I can admit I haven't been at full throttle, losing to Reagan Cole and Alexander Hightower, but I won't be underestimated, I am the most underappreciated worker this company has ever fucking seen, I bust my ass working for opportunities while people just leap frog above me without doing a damn thing, I am here to prove myself, prove why I am still the future of IWT, why I am the present of IWT, and Corey, as hard as you try, i'll try harder."

"This has gone on far too long and i'm here to end it, boy you have a future ahead of you but I have a present I need to sustain, and I don't matter who I have to go through, whether it's The Blackfire, Johnny Thunder, Will Savat, anyone, there's one thing guaranteed and that's that I will give it my all and fight for what I deserve, this match is massive for both of us, this match could determine your future and my present, and as much as I think you're a good wrestler, i'm a better wrestler... and i'll prove that tonight."

"You say you want to show me a lesson, blabbering on about walls and reputation, and while you're right about proving myself to everyone, but the only person I have to prove myself to is me. Prove that i'm good enough. This is a new era for Dylan Gray, and it all starts with you..."
  4. *Corey looks at crowd then begins to speak*

"Didn't you say that era started a few weeks ago? And a week before that? I see nothing has started when I look around"

"Anyway look at you, listen to yourself for a minute, what I'm hearing is the same old shit. Like you copied and pasted from a computer basically. From those words, you might as well just said 'Control V' and we would all know exactly what you are talking about. Hightower and Davis earned their wins against you because everyday they have been starting thier motivations from scratch to deliver new exciting material, and that gives them the effort they need to beat generics like you, where are you going right now?"

"The theme you used, now first, A Day to Remember is a great band, no offense to that, but honestly this is like the thousandth song you have come out to. If you are going to make relevancy you stick to one theme and one true identity that evolves constantly, not random figures with the same intentions. This match won't determine your present and this won't determine my future, your present is currently dead, this match will determine my present and your future. And if you don't play the cards correctly right here and now, the future won't be seeing Gray anytime soon."

*more cheers, Marcus looks a little more focused here*

"So think for a minute, and ask yourself this question because in this match, my lesson to you, it'll be all about the answer to this question... How can one deserve something if the one doesn't even deserve himself?"

*another applause, Corey lowers mic, hands it to ref, takes his shirt and hat off and gets ready for the match, he also waits for Dylan's final remarks*
  5. Gray s*****s.

    "Third theme actually"

    Gray shrugs his shoulders.

"Well for one I have faced Davis so I don't know where you got that from, and secondly what you're saying isn't new, it's been said many times, so don't think you're a breath of fresh air, something new, but as much as you call me generic, you are too, I've seen many like you, you're nothing special."

    Crowd boos Gray.

"Trust me when I say that while you say my present is dead, i'm one of the few people on this damn roster that works his ass of day in, day out, whether it's getting my promos out in time or building feuds, I never back down, and even though things may not being going my way as of yet, things can change, people can grow, people can improve, I can improve, you can improve, everyone in the back can improve, I've been here what about 3 months? I have a lot to learn still and a lot to achieve so don't you dare say my present is dead when it's only just begun, don't say I have no future because i'll prove that to you tonight, i'll prove that I am what this company needs, a work horse that is willing to commit to anything, just like at IWTMania IV I went 4 on 1 just to represent this damn forsaken company just to show my commitment when everyone else bailed out and Eric Draven got himself fired, and trust me Eric Draven is hell of a lot better than you and I beat him, so what says I can't beat you? Pick your poison Corey because it won't end well for you. I am the most underappreciated superstar in IWT today and I will show you why."

"And if all else fails.... There's ALWAYS a plan B...."

  7. Corey Marcus did great with the metaphorical play with words. I like it, as it had much more meaning behind it. Dylan had a good promo, but it failed to answer or refute Corey's points. Dylan kind of just went about rambling about being under-appreciated. He made his points, but Corey refuted while making his own points and adding his special touch. Something, that Dylan, didn't really do. Like he just brushed him, and it hurt his character.

I think that's Dylan's greatest fault. He seems to brush everything off with no real rebuttal, and the points take away from his character.
