Ryan Davis walks onto the stage, hands held high as he is followed by Jeff and Miss Elizabeth. Ryan isn't in his entrance robe, he's strictly in his ring gear. The group makes their way to the ring and Elizabeth gives Ryan a microphone as the music fades out.

Ryan: I think I'm just getting used to it, to being mistreated and disrespected in this company because that's all that's happened to me since I got here. Nobody is man enough to admit that I am the greatest first generation wrestler in the history of professional wrestling, so they try to keep me down. Whether it be you worthless people in this arena that boo me or the main guy in charge here, Michael by refusing to give me a championship match. Instead, Michael wants to feed his own ego by facing me tonight, but he tends to forget that this does nothing for my career. Or, maybe he does which is why he's doing it.

Ryan stops talking and nods to Elizabeth who exits the ring and walks towards a fan in the crowd. Elizabeth smacks him and takes away his beverage and enters the ring, handing the cup to Ryan. The fans boo as Ryan takes a drink from the cup then recklessly throws the cup behind him, dark soda spilling onto about a dozen people.

Ryan: Michael said he's wanted this match for months now and has mentioned how he was a mentor to me a while ago. However, even though Michael and his enormous ego will deny it, the only reason I associated myself with him was because I wanted an IWT Championship match. I never got that match. Now he sees me as a threat because I'm getting further in my career without him, so he wants to stop me. However, he's still ignorant of the fact that he can't stop me. Nobody can stop me. Michael is just waiting to come out right now and have the biggest match of his life and it's pathetic, because I've only been here a few months and this is the worst match I've ever been booked in. I don't care about Michael, he's a failed wrestler who went into management, became crooked, booked himself in a World title match and got lucky. I'm not wearing my robe, I didn't make my amazing entrance, I didn't even frame a picture of Michael's face and smash it when I came out. Why? Because Michael isn't worth it. So Mr. Management, let's get this over with.

  3. Michael steps out with white leather pants, kickpads and kneepads. He is wearing an old-school IWT t-shirt that is drenched from the dripping water, dripping from his hair. He walks down, climbs the steps, poses on the corner to a barrage of camera flashes. He steps down and wipes his feet on the outside apron before entering the ring. He walks over and grabs a microphone form the ring-side area.

Michael: Ryan Davis, it's been a while since we've been in the same ring together. The last time was when you tried to extort a Television title match from me and attempted to run my name through the mud. How did that work out for you? Did you get your wish? Did you win the title? No, you didn't. I was never one to be pushed around, and I was definitely not gonna be pushed around by a nonsensical, unteachable student. You barricade yourself by white trash because you are too afraid to stand in this ring, this arena and this world, alone. Who are these living pieces of trash? Your comedy skit? Y'know, you remind me of a young Michael. So bad, yet he thought he was so good. What got his head straight? A few beatings, blackeyes, and broken bones. You've obviously lost sight of where you're going and you'll be taught today. You're just another wrestler. You're not special, and you will never be special. I've pulled your strings into accepting this match. What makes you think I won't pull anymore?... Dance, puppet-boy, dance.

Michael paces around the ring and rubs his face. His face is red in anger, but slowly regains his composure.

Michael: Attaching yourself to greatness is a smart move, I'll give you props. But I never, even in the darkest recesses of my mind, ever thought of you as a challenger to my gold. I really wished you were smart enough to understand your potential because you've obviously lost your mind. You hop around from Universal, to TV, to IWT titles and think you're just gonna be given the match because of what? You beat Blackfire and Nick? You ran with your tail in-between your legs and a yellow streak down your back when push came to shove. You ruined Nick vs. Davis II and you ran away. You think you're the greatest wrestler alive? I've never met a wrestler that ran from the arena during his match, and still consider himself the greatest. Even you, have no idea what the hell you're talking about. You're a ticking time bomb, but you will be your own target. You're blowing yourself up, in a shameless attempt to gain some glory. The days when you were a future star, are gone. Never to return, and you're biting your last hours in attempts of extortion instead of building merit? Your time is up, and it's not because I said so, but because you ate it up.

Michael stops pacing and stands eye to with Ryan.

Michael: Your decaying mind is really imaginative. You think this is some agenda for me to stop your mediocre rise to midcard status? You think this my biggest match, of my career? Get your head out of your ass, and have some respect for yourself, man. I wanted to face you because I still saw potential, but your extortionate antics and over-bloated ego have showed me you're just hot air. Facing an over-bloated egomaniac is hardly the biggest match of my career. I honestly took this match because of the false potential and because I didn't want to get rusty as I walked into a title match in a few months. Your just a stepping stone, and you're definitley not the glass ceiling for me to break. It's not very hard for me to imagine where I would be today without Ryan Davis. This isn't your kingdom, because you're a pawn in my chess game. You're a gear in my factory. A gear, that needs replacing.
  4. Ryan: You really look at me differently than who I really am. That's how corrupt, crooked and delusional you are. You're absolutely right, I tried to get a Television title match, I blackmailed you for one, but it's because I deserve it. But in your mind, I don't deserve it. Why? Is it because you think you deserve it? I think that's what it is. Michael, I have to be honest, I'm actually surprised that you didn't book yourself in the TV title match. That would feed your ego so much by becoming the first TV champion. But I know why you didn't do that, I know why you want to face me tonight instead. It's because you see that with or without your guidance I am making my way to becoming the IWT champion. It eats at you, doesn't it? That I'm actually earning what's coming to me instead of booking myself in a match. Deep down you know that I am better than you on my worst day.

Ryan stops to take a look at Michael across the ring for just a moment before continuing.

Ryan: And I do agree with you that there's some of young Michael in me, there is. But that's where the comparison stops. You see, unlike you, I am not going to waste my potential and become the biggest disappointment to step foot inside this ring, I will actually become the biggest star this company has ever seen.

Ryan smirks as he goes on.

Ryan: ....I will become the biggest star YOUR company has ever seen.

Ryan, Elizabeth and Jeff all laugh and share handshakes.

Ryan: That just eats you up, doesn't it? My entire existence eats you up because every single day I continue breathing is just a reminder of how much of a disappointment you are. That's why you want this match, I do believe you really feel you want to end me, I do, because you need to end me to get rid of that reminder. But I'm not going to be some stepping stone for you, I will be the stone that crushes you because you overestimated yourself and decided to step in the ring with me. Alias Antonio beat you because he's better than you. I will beat you because I'm better than you. It's just as simple as that. It's the same thing I told Nick and what happened? I beat him. The only way you can be successful is if you book yourself halfway there. And here you are doing it again, but I'll be damned if I let you beat me.
  5. Michael glances over at Ryan with anger in his eyes.

Michael: Who the hell do you think you are? This is your fourth match in the IWT, and you, for some reason, deserve a Television title match, and you deserve a World title match, and you're the envy of all the men and the dream of all the women and the role-model of the all the kids? Tell me some more lies, tell me all the lies that you can spew out. You're gonna be a crushing stone, and some sort of anchor that will drag me down to the bottom of the sea? Get your head out of your ass, and realize that you're nothing more than a sparring partner. You're just here for me to practice, and be my test dummy. I don't need a match with a dummy. I don't care if you stay or leave, I just want to pound some respect into your face while I'm here. I'll break your horn, so you never try to toot it again.

Michael starts pacing around Ryan Davis.

I'm an egotistical son-of-a-bitch, and I know it. But i'll never toot a horn, I don't have. I'll never flaunt a merit, I don't possess. I will never demand respect, I haven't earned. I'll never show-off an accomplishment, I never earned. You, on the other hand, do exactly that. You have some yes-men carrying your gym bags while you shout at the sky about how you deserve a World title match, a Television title match, a Congressional Medal of Honor and an induction into the Worldwide Hall of Fame. You don't even deserve to be here, you deserve to bring me my lunch. You should be glad that I even bothered to show up, and I didn't fire you for trying to extort a title match, that you never earned. You should've asked for a beating, something, you have earned.

Michael stops pacing and stops and looks at Ryan.

Michael: You honestly believe that you aren't already the biggest flop the IWT has seen? I got to the top of the industry, winning the IWT World title and becoming the owner of the IWT. You were touted as the future of this company, and you no-showed the biggest match of your career and now you're sparring dummy for the GM. You're really showing your true star power. You're truly gonna be the Next Big Thing in the IWT, really.

Michael looks at the crowd with a pitiful pout.

Michael: And what did you say, that I don't want you to be TV Champ because I think I deserve to be champ? You just love the say retarded things for the sake of saying retarded things, don't you? I don't give a shit about the TV title, and I can live without a damn regret of not going back to fight for the title. You don't deserve jack shit. You no-showed your last, most important match in your career, and you haven't done anything since then but cry. You cried about being put in a match against me, you cried about not extorting a TV title match from me, you cried about "intentionally leaving" during your most important match. Man up, grow a pair and fight for something. Stop trying to cry and sob your way to success, dump the yes-men and become a man. I'm here to do just that. Beat the little boy into being a man. There's a time to grow up, and the time is now.

Michael drops the microphone and warms up in the corner.

  7. Had to give it to Michael on this occasion. Given the nature of the feud between the two of you, I felt Mikey's promos had more emotion behind them (which fit him given that he was the one touting Davis as the "Next big thing") Nothing Davis said was "wrong" per se but I felt that he could have placed more emphasis on his "I don't need you anymore" angle, it seems he focused more on jealously which wasn't the route I'dve went with, the T.V Title argument not doing much to help.

That said though, this was still a nice little match. Michael has improved so much it's not even funny and Davis, with some spit and polish looks poised to be a high player imo.
  8. Tbh I noticed that at the end of my first promo. When I read that there was no limit, I thought we were doing more than 2 for some reason and was planning on turning my focus to Michael rather than a championship. I done fucked up.

Oh well though, I can't wait for #Broken Ryan Davis to begin.

Any man will get broken by being in a match with an irrelevant sack of shit like Michael. *preceeds to get ass kicked by Michael*

  9. Safe to say my character needs some more depth. The disrespectful punk thing can work from time to time, but Roadie really showed in this match how easy it is to rip apart my promos and make me looks like a jabroni. Good stuff mate, you broke me.
    • Friendly Friendly x 1
  10. I try adding some advice into my promos to give it some reality factor. And I personally feel that having your character kind of flaunt his future and accomplishments, despite not actually doing anything but beat Nick, which cancels out when you take into account that you no-showed. Is a bad move.

I think being more humble, and building up is a better way to go.

I liked this match. Kind of underwhelming, but good enough.

  11. Respect to @Tsar for suddenly improving. Liked what Ryan Davis said, but most of what he said felt like it didn't fit him. Like Tsar said, you kinda put yourself in a corner when you flaunted your accomplishments when you haven't really done a lot, and that's where Tsar got you, I think. Nonetheless, good match and good job by both of you.
  12. Here's your winner...MICHAEL!
