  2. The Titantron shows static till the music hits. The camera changes to one that is coming from the behind the curtain and shows the back of a figure standing at the center of the stage, cracking his neck and looking around the arena, raising one hand which earns a pop from the crowd before he starts to walk to the ring with the camera following him.

Colt stands in front of the ring and looks around the arena before rolling into the ring and testing the ropes. He walks to the middle of the ring and kneels on the mat, closing his eyes and breathing in a controlled manner before he hits the mat with his hands and jumps up back to his feet, taking his jacket off and throwing it to the ringside when he's handed a mic.

"Doubt, it's a powerful thing. Most people, they'd say Doubt is something one should avoid, that you need to be sure of yourself, that the champions, legends that etched their names into the history of professional wrestling, of the squared circle, they were free from doubt."

Colt looks around the arena and shakes his head before he continues.

"They are wrong. If there is someone that says they don't have doubt about themselves, they are lying. Or the only thing they don't have doubts about, is failing."

    He pulls his hair back.

"You see, when you lose your debut, albeit in a tag match. It puts doubt into your head, it puts the feeling that you just aren't good enough, that all those people that said you could never make it, never be anything in this life. You start to think they were right all along."

He squeezes the mic, his knuckles turning white.

"I had doubts. My tag match defeat, I believed that I could still do it... But, I had my doubts. And let me tell you, a man chained with doubts and the will to obliterate them, he can shape his own destiny. Because doubts, those chains. They make you feel like a chained animal, a predator held back, a predator trying to break away. And no predator is more dangerous than when he breaks those chains and rush towards it's prey"

He looks around the crowd taking a breath before he continued

"And last week, that is what you witnessed. I broke those chains and tore my way through my prey. I wasn't just fighting Slate Bass, I was fighting every ounce of doubt that the defeat gave me. I was fighting for me. I was fighting for everyone in this crowd today that had someone tell them they weren't good enough, that the couldn't do what they loved. That they just weren't - Enough"

The crowd applauds as Colt leans over the ropes looking towards the entrance way.

"And Arno, I know you're here for a fight. I know we'll steal the show and we'll give these people a fight to remember. But know this"

Colt slowly moves back towards the center of the ring, keeping his eyes on the entrance way.

"I am going to scratch and claw my to a victory. I won't let my doubts... my doubters, I wont let them gain strength, I won't let them become stronger. I rather bleed out in this ring than feed them. I AM READY FOR THIS FIGHT. THEY ARE READY FOR THIS FIGHT!"

He says pointing to the crowd, the crowd at a fever pitch before calming himself a little bit and lowering his head to speak softly into the mic

    "Are you..... Are you ready?"

  3. The arena swells to a dark shade of purple as Arno's theme echoes throughout. When the beat kicks in out comes Arno accompanied by Judas. They make their way to the ring quickly, Arno stops on steel steps and reaches for a microphone that Judas gives him before stepping in the ring. He fixes his jacket and smiles at Colt until his music stops.

Speaking of doubts...I had my fair share coming out here tonight. I mean that was pretty impressive what you did against Bass...even though even a idiot with my track-record could pull that off too. You know I really can't even undermine you too much because we having something in common, defeat. My first loss came at the hands of some neanderthal and you were dragged down by your partner. We both were given the short end of luck on those nights but it's not about how hard you fall, Colt. Its about how fast you get up each time.

The crowd begins to chant "0-6" and Arno is getting noticeably annoyed.

That's right I've fallen five times and yet I'm still right-fucking-here. I don't care how many more times I fall because eventually you'll all fall with me...

The crowd continues chanting but Arno ignores them and adverts his attention back to colt.

Isn't it funny how we've reacted to defeat? How it inspires you to fight harder and surpass your "doubter's". Whereas I've been motivated to think smarter and disregard all my "doubter's". One experience shared but two different lesson's learned.

You think your going to sway any opinions coming out here with fighting spirit shtick? You think these people really care how hard you fight to the top? Sorry to break it to you kiddo but they don't. They don't care about you until you stop caring about them... please spare me of your banality.

  4. Colt listens to Arno, even though he's standing still and quiet. His restlessness speaks volumes.

"Banality?" he looks straight at Arno, and shakes his head "Is it banal to deliver what you promise Arno? To come out here, to tell the world that you will give it your all every single fight. Every single night no matter where you are, or how big the crowd is? And then proceed to actually DO IT. Is that Banality? Would you call putting hours on end in the gym working with your trainers, working with the people that run the IWT Training ground just so you can get on a card. Just so you know you are getting that much better. 1% better, 1% aster, 1% stronger. Would you call that banality?"

He looks away and starts to walk around the ring for a little bit before looking back at Arno and Judas before he continues.

"Hard work - That hasn't changed. There is no substitute, there is no easy shortcuts. No matter where you are or when you started to do what we do, hard work is a constant. Hard work, grit, determination... they might be cliches to you, first to the gym, last to leave may be just a screensaver quote for you or a poster at the IWT Gym"

He shakes his head slowly as he continues.

"Not to me, to me these aren't cliches or banalities... these are the reasons I am standing here in front of you without an 0 in my wins column! These "banalities" are the reason I have beaten those doubters! These are the same cliches that Slate Bass didn't have an answer to!"

Colt takes a second, not letting his excitement take over the match. Taking a breath before he continues, clenching the mic tight with his fingers.

"You were right on one thing... Two lessons learned from the very same experience. Two paths that lead to redemption or defeat. I took my path, I fought tooth and nail and left everything I had in that ring to get my redemption"

He glances over at Judas before stepping close to Arno.

"And you took the path of denial..... and where has that gotten you Arno? Where has ignoring your doubters, "Thinking Smarter" gotten you so far? Where has being the unique snowflake that you are gotten you.... I'll tell you where. Not here and today, but to tomorrow, to 0-6. Maybe, maybe after you are looking up at the lights as my hand is raised. Maybe you will realise that there is no unique way to redemption, that there is no rainbow to slide on till you reach the pot of gold. No magical canvas that simply gives you what you painted.... no."

Colt starts to count with his fingers as he lists "Hard work, Grit, Determination... Hard work, Grit, Determination... HARD WORK! GRIT! DETERMINATION" he looks into Arno's eyes, the crowd as loud as it's been all night as the superstars stand mere inches away.

"That Arno, is what paves the road to redemption. And till you get that in your head, you will never redeem yourself, you will wander aimlessly. You will go to 0-10 before you finally realise what went wrong" he glances over at Judas for a second before continuing "Call me the definition of Banality, call me a shtick , call me whatever the fuck you want.... but the announcer" he says pointing to the ring announcer sitting next to the commentary table "He's gonna call me one thing tonight, that will elude you again Arno, that you ache to hear but will have to wait for another match, another night."

He scans the crowd before focusing back on Arno, bringing the mic back up to say "He'll call me the WINNER!" he glares at Arno before dropping the mic.

  5. Arno wears a wide genuine smile on his face as he claps sarcastically...

Colt it seems you don't understand I'm not seeking redemption, I have nothing to prove--not to these people. 0-5, 0-6 hell 0-100...honestly it doesn't matter because its not about wins/losses its all about the message. Enlightenment, that's what I come here to do and I'll succeeded in enlightening the IWT one loss or win at a time. You call it denial I call it logic.

    Arno's smile fades away.

You think you're really something, huh? You see all that hard work shit is the same thing I've heard from millions of sheep just like you. People with that mindset get nowhere in life * Crowd booing* ...its the damn truth. You see the leaders of the world, the elite, didn't get where they are by working harder. They got where they are by thinking harder and applying it better than the workhorses. Intelligence is the key, Colt and it's the only way to unlock the door to true success.

Frye runs his left hand through his hair and begins pacing side to side.

You know the funny thing about success? It isn't instant. Sure you may win this match and I may lose my next...but eventually I will stand tall. Even then success is never guaranteed. Funnier than that...promises don't mean shit. They're a lot like your hard work in that they get you nowhere. Promises only lead to disappointment...but I'll promise you one thing...

Frye takes off his jacket and hands it to Judas who throws it out the ring when Arno turns back to Colt. or lose, I'll still be the victor.

  7. Here's your winner...COLT HELLBECK!

Colt Hellback's hand is raised as the bell rings signaling the end of the match. Before the referee could let go Arno attacks Hellback from behind causing both Colt and the ref' to fall to the mat. Arno stomps on Colt shortly after Judas joins him, Judas picks colt up by his greasy black hair and throws him into the corner. He rams himself into colt rendering him barely conscious. Colt stumbles out from the corner and is met by a finishing touch (brogue kick) which knocks him back down. Arno drops to he knees and leans over Hellback's lifeless body, Judas Stands on the otherside of him. Frye has a look of frustration on his face, he breaths rapidly and heavy as he looks over Colt but then his gasps for air morph into laughs...

    The camera cuts.
