That's a shame, it was always great having him show up from time to time and put some real emotion into the commentating. Best of luck to him.
Now we have to suffer Jerry "Pedo" Lawler himself. At least he was bearable with Ross. I always hoped for a JR return.
Sad day in the wrestling business. Thanks for many good years of commentary, Jim Ross.
WWE will never have any one ever like him again sadly.
It's such a shame that such a great announcer for WWE is announcing his retirement from the company. Jim Ross was simply amazing and I'm sure the WWE universe forever thank him for his excellent work.
He should have done Wrestlemania 30 and then retired
I thought the same i'd love to hear one last 'Its stone cold, its stone cold' thats if he's at mania is his retirement effective immediately
Here is the backstage news on it, supposedly.
It will never be the same without him HOWEVER we have Cole now HOORAY..
Well, damn. Best of luck for him and the future I guess.
Great announcer & will miss him
*Stands up and gives a great round of applause*
Jim Ross, you're a true legend. You're arguably the greatest announcer of all time and your commentary made so many great moments even greater. You were an unbelievable director of talent relations and did a tremendous amount for the entire wrestling business. Hope you have a great life bud, you've earned it!
and hey dixie if you want to go ahead and pony up the money to bring him there that would be cool too
He'll return eventually for that one "shocking return".

Turned out he was fired by Vince...
I will mark out if JR goes to TNA that would be a slap in the face to Vince
