  1. Holy fuckamole! I'm flabbergasted and beyond excited about this!
  2. So, it'll be Liger vs Breeze at Takeover!

  3. Can't wait for Breeze to Beauty Shot that dumb fucking mask off Liger.
  4. Realistic Stopspot inbound: While this is cool news, it doesn't mean there is a WWE/New Japan relationship in the works. Liger is on a special contract that allows him a lot of outside bookings. Dude is everywhere.
  5. Doubt that the majority would come to that conclusion in the first place. If it was someone like Nakamura, or one of the other New Japan faithful then it'd be a completely different story.
  7. Tenzan to dethrone Gaylor pls.
  8. If anything, I'd see WWE getting in bed with ROH in some form before they have a relationship with NJPW. Either of those happening though will still be very slim, if not nonexistent as long the executives keep up their state of mind of being the only promotion that sports entertainment thrives on.
  9. LOL at people thinking WWE and NJPW will have a working relationship. Ain't happening anytime soon or ever.
  10. However, it IS symptomatic they're sending Liger to direct competition. And they already sent KUSHIDA to GFW tapings.
  11. Apparently ROH and NXT are in talks now if the Insider/Meltzer are to be believe from what I understand. Even if it is just a non aggression pact that's some mighty big "alliance" being formed right there.
  12. I myself didn't even think about a WWE/NJPW relationship, just marking out for this match alone lol
  13. Even though he is limited now he can still put a decent match on, will be good to see him a wwe ring, NXT smarks will go nuts for him.
  14. I'm looking forward to this. I've always been a fan of Liger's and I think he should mesh well, style-wise, with Breeze.

BTW, I would love to see any sort of relationship between WWE and NJPW (quite honestly, the idea of Nakamura, Okada, Naito, or Tanahashi competing for the WWE-WHC gives me a total chub), but I don't think this is necessarily indicative of anything of the sort.

  15. A relationship between New Japan and the WWE is not going to happen. No way New Japan are that stupid.
    • Agree Agree x 1
  16. Which doesn't mean I can't want it to happen....

  17. I find it very very unlikely that it would happen. Both New Japan and WWE are alpha males so to speak. In every alliance New Japan have they are the dominant party, which they would not be against McMahon, they would not even be seen as equals most likely. They win more on partnering with ROH, RPW, the NWA and such
  18. I completely agree with you, don't get me wrong.

That's probably why I'd love to see it happen, because it's so unlikely. And because I'm such a fan of guys in both promotions.

I mean, wouldn't you love to see Kevin Owens vs. Tetsuya Naito, Randy Orton vs. Kazuchika Okada, Stardust vs. Shinsuke Nakamura, etc.?

(Please note, those are basically just random pairings of guys off the top of my head...for a better list of match-ups, we're just going to have to wait for it)
