Ken Shamrock interview(10/28/13)

Discussion in 'General WWE' started by Harley Quinn, Oct 28, 2013.

  1. Ken Shamrock recently spoke with Steve and The Scum about why he feels he has “heat” with Triple H:

“I’d like to clarify that. There was a guy named Mark Henry, a strong man. He was in the locker room and there were a few guys involved. Hunter was one of them that put s–t in his sandwich and I told him. So, I think Hunter didn’t like me for that and I think Hunter didn’t like me for the fact that when I first came in Vince put me over on him. I was truly understanding that I was the new guy coming in and I hadn’t put in my dues and I was getting a push, but I was doing what I was asked to do. I think Hunter had a real hard time dealing with that, especially with me being a real bad ass otherwise and there’s nothing he could do about it. Then opening my mouth to protect another human being, I think there is ribbing and there is having fun and then there is things where you cross over the line, and so I said something.”

Shamrock explains why he feels “blackballed” by the organization:

“I had put out my feelers, I had actually talked to Shane McMahon, he put a call in. I thought I had a pretty intricate part in changing the face of wrestling when I was able to ref the match with Bret Hart and Stone Cold, it changed the face of wrestling. I was in all the Pay Per Views and all the house shows, and I thought I made a pretty good impact and helped change pro wrestling, not by myself, but definitely I was a part of it in the Attitude Era. There is no recognition towards me or about me and I’m kind of disappointed.”

Shamrock talked about wanting to get into the ring with Triple H:

“When it comes to Hunter, I would love to get in the ring with him and show him what it’s like… help him understand that there is a lot of people in this world that have a lot of natural ability and natural talent and just because you don’t like them doesn’t mean it isn’t so… I would love to get in the ring with him and show him exactly who I am and what I’m about.”

  2. So he wants to beat HHH up? :hmm:

  3. Triple H isn't tough like the way he always wants to be portrayed as.

  4. Ken Shamrock was apart of the Attitude Era but I would hardly say he played an intricate part in it. Steve Austin, The Rock, HHH, Mick Foley, DX, Undertaker, Kane, etc. all played a crucial role but if Shamrock had never been apart of the roster back then, things wouldn't really be any different. Perhaps he should get some recognition as being the first ever guy (I think...) to cross over from the world of mixed martial arts and into the world of pro wrestling (tends to be the opposite nowadays) and the fact that he got to officiate the epic Bret/Austin Wrestlemania 13 match but that's about it. I wouldn't mind him being back if he was in good shape but I wouldn't be disappointed if he didn't return. I doubt Triple H still has issues with him to this day over one little incident, though.

I kinda wish he would have returned back around 2002-2003. Just think of the good matches he could have had with the likes of Kurt Angle, Brock Lesnar, Rey Mysterio, RVD, Chris Benoit, Eddie Guerrero, Shelton Benjamin, Charlie Haas, etc.

  5. Shamrock's too old to make a come back, I think he's 50 already and he has had neck injuries which forced him to retire way back.
