I've been a wrestling fan for over 30 years, watching it when I was kid and never outgrowing it. Wrestling is responsible for my learning of the Japanese language which had become a prime focal point in my life. New Japan Pro Wrestling is likely the best wrestling in the world and I wanted to be able to understand the commentators so I took up Japanese and have been speaking it for about seven years. I am a psychology student, studying suicide in Japan, which will likely be the subject of my dissertation when I finally get my phd.
- Favorite PPV:
- Royal Rumble 1992
I am a huge Ric Flair fan. After Flair, my favorite wrestler is likely Jeff Jarrett. I take a lot of slack for this, but I don't care. I've followed JJ since the USWA and he's the only wrestler I get as carried away with watching as I used to with Flair. Okada Kazuchika is my favorite current wrestler. My favorite female wrestler is Awesome Kong, although her best days are obviously behind her.
I wrestled for 2 years in high school before some jackass wrenched my knee because he couldn't pin me. 23 years later, that knee injury has kept me from getting involved in wrestling, which had been my dream
I was a columnist for the Online World of Wrestling in 2005 and 2006, and have resumed that position as of January 2015. I was actually recognized at some events around the time of Wrestlemania 22. I wrote a new column for the Online World of Wrestling called "Cheap Heat." However, the website has sort of lost its appeal and I have felt the time and effort I have spent there would be better utilized elsewhere.
Here's a link to some of my articles in case anyone is interested. I wrote for several others as well, but once I entered college it was nearly impossible for me to keep going as a wrestling journalist, but I absolutely am proud of my work. Columns - Online World of Wrestling
I've recently begun my own horror narration YouTube channel called Killer Orange Cat and that has taken off quite well. Just about to hit 10,000 subscribers!
