So the guy randomly called him out? I respect that he served but that's just douchish if so.
This, Owen responded in a pretty bad way, but both came across pretty dickish imo, I loved Owen in his day as well.
Glad to see I'm not on my own, some people seem to think that I don't respect soldiers because I don't agree with everything they do. It's bizarre IMO.
Exactly, I mean at the end of the day, this soldiers just caled out Owen, a fantastic footballer who was unfortunately plagued by injury, and said to him without Owen saying a thing that Owen does nothing compared to himself, dick thing to do tbh.
Care. I don't.
Cared enough to reply.
The guy comes off as a dick. One of those idiots on Twitter who just randomly out celebrities for no reason. Owen walked into the pipebomb of his life but still was rather uncalled for.
I don't follow any sort of sports but just happened into this thread...
I don't see how Michael Owens was called out. Someone asked him if he played football and he responded dickishly. The guy responded back accordingly.
Abit of context may help, Owen has rarely played for the past few years due to injury but is an incredibly well known name, the idea on the guy not knowing of he actually played is very slim indeed.
He's regularly called out on twitter for being a bench-warmer.
I'd take all the Twitter beatings in the world to make his money and be a bench warmer.
Dunno, he's an English legend, I can understand why he sometimes takes it to heart.
James is just a douche who thinks his army career makes him superior.
