OOC New voting rule

Discussion in 'Internet Wrestling Titles' started by Shadow, Jul 16, 2016.

  1. Just got word from Not-so-Big Mike and the boys from creative, that tag teams and stables can no longer vote in matches containing their partners. This goes into effect immediately.

  3. I'm the biggest Mike, and yes. No more tag team voting. This has been on/off for years and it's been settled that it's pretty hard to distinguish a bias vote if people are voting for their tag team partners. It seemed like common sense gun voting reform.

  5. Yeah seems like a silly idea from the get go
  6. There's a fair few people in Bullad Club tho. That eliminates three people who would potentially vote in a match I'm having in general. Plus there are people, I've noticed, that are going to vote against me no matter what so that doesn't help.

Honestly I think the best way to combat any kind of bias would be to have the voter explain why they voted for someone. Why they liked their arguments/structure/layout etc. I've noticed whenever anyone does do that it's usually unhelpfully vague.
  7. Yeah, the big problem with this is that our matches, and only ours because I'm pretty sure we are the only team in IWT rn, lose out on three votes. Which is a bit shitty honestly.
  8. There is no bias either. Indy and Dojo p. much always tell me why they voted for me, what I did right and wrong and vice-versa. In fact, I'm sure Aurtle didn't even vote for me against DKJ iirc
  9. I thought it was Ballad Club, not Baby Club. Also I thought the rule was already in place and that's why I never voted in @rydogg 's matches. dammit, I could have voted in the legendary battles between Braeden Cross and the other guy..

  11. Not sure why, but I didn't get the tag alert.

Appreciate the heads up, not easy being the messenger :p
  12. Nah, you're right tho. It'll be great having our matches lose out on three voters.
  13. Tough shit.

  19. Think it's weird how this gets implemented at a time when there's no tag division and only one stable. I don't mind the idea of this rule, because I can understand where it's coming from, but it's annoying when it's a rule that (at this time) only gives us a disadvantage. There are more than enough guys who vote fairly and actually read the promo's, but on the other side of the coin, we have more than enough people that dislike us on this site because we're honest about how we feel to people. If we don't like someone, we're not gonna be nice and that has its disadvantages. Look at the people who vote against us, chances are that you'll see a pattern of the same people. Doesn't matter if the opponent's Jack Lux or Jack Forté.

I can't say this for Dojo or Drag (even though I'm almost certain that they share the same analogy with me on this), but I've never voted for someone because he's my friend, nor have I ever voted against someone because he's my ''enemy''. That defeats the entire point of an e-fed. It's about cutting promo's and seeing who's the better man, it's not a popularity contest.

So yeah, only thing this rule really does to us is reduce the amount of voters in any of my or my friends' matches, which causes the ''bias minority'' to make a bigger impact on the match (A match has around 15 votes, minus my 3 friends will be 12, there are 2/3 people who I'm sure they hate me from interactions I've had with them, who I've noticed always vote against my friends and myself, so that ''minority'' adds up to 25% of all voters) so in reality, this rule does nothing but give a disadvantage to us and an advantage to anyone who'd be up for a match with any of us.
