Ring of Honor Opinion on Cornette's ROH run

  1. Remember when Cornette used to book ROH? The era of ROH right around the Sinclair purchase that was called "Smokey Mountain of honor".

This was one of the most lambasted eras of ROH booking, so I figured it would be a interesting topic to discuss. What do you remember of this era? Any particular part you hated? Any particular thing you liked or even loved? And what is your opinion on Cornette as a booker?

  2. He booked as if it was a NWA territory, It was just a bland brand that had been seen like 20 years prior. I didn't watch much of ROH, but ROH was at it's best when Gabe Sapolsky was booking.
  3. Really predictable and safe, uninspired booking, terrible angles,no real buzz about the company. His treatment of the Bucks was appalling. Never done anything with the CHIKARA partnership.Brought in guys like QT Marshall. Should of at least put TJ Perkins in a tag team with Amazing Red,only teamed once. The list goes on...

  4. At least his tenure has given us some more Cornette gold.
  5. Steen as champ was the only good thing I remember.
  6. Didn't watch then, but as mentioned the shoot that came out of it was very entertaining.
