Possible Wrestlemania XXX Scenarios

  1. I assume this is coming straight from the "all day creative meetings" that were held yesterday and Thursday (which is funny considering I could have easily typed up these scenarios in less than twenty minutes.)

The first scenario sounds the best except for Batista/Orton but as long as they make Bryan/HHH the headline match, the WWE Title match getting a negative reaction shouldn't matter as much. And if there's any chance Bryan earns himself a title match at Extreme Rules and ends up going over Batista (or Orton, but it's much better for it to be Batista) for the championship in his home state, then all the better. I'm not convinced they wouldn't want their headline match to be a match for the WWE Championship though, especially considering the unification of the belts would have been made into a huge deal just a few months prior (and WWE usually likes their anniversary shows - 10, 20, even 25 - to revolve around fighting over their most coveted prize, the WWE Championship.)

Orton/Batista/Bryan sounds good, but the other matches that would be booked as a result - Cena/HHH, Sheamus/HHH, etc. - don't.

Guess Taker/Lesnar is pretty much set in stone and the idea of Lesnar winning the title was never in the plans, after all.

  2. Yeah, Bryan v Hunter should main-event WrestleMania, definitely. Bryan winning the title the next month in his homestate will be like two 'WrestleMania moments' for him. Although, I still hate the rest of that card. Brock (c) v Batista and Undertaker v Bray Wyatt is much better IMO. But at this point I think the event is fucked anyway - Sheamus v Kane?! - so I just want to see Bryan win the main-event, as a way of salvaging something.

  3. Yeah, SO much of the buzz for WWE right now is around Bryan (lets be honest, it's their own doing getting him over so well as this oppressed employee storyline.) that it really feels like whatever Daniel's doing is all that wrestling fans care about.

If any of these actually happen for Daniel- and I'm HIGHLY skeptical - it'll be very pleasing, not just for Daniel and the fans, but for the confidence of the fans to not be ignored and to remove the well-built precedent that anything cool that actually happens in this company will not be followed up on + any new stars they try to create won't just be pushed allllllllmost to the top before they completely give up on them and shove them back to the undercard. Novel concept.

The first one sounds great. Him getting back at the Authority and WWE and earning that title shot whether the Authority like it or not is the big Wrestlemania moment we all want plus it's WWE actually wrapping up an angle up in a satisfying way for once in their lives. It still leaves us the Orton vs Batista main event, which unfortunately is just one you can't possibly care about now instead of one the fans hilariously shit all over. And with the rest of the card being interesting then I'll happily accept Cena vs Wyatt, which will probably have Cena going over with Bray being strong in defeat, great. It's lazily booked, but with Wyatt you can kinda get away with him attacking Cena for no reason. Fuck Sheamus vs Kane, how on earth are you going to build tha... scratch that, I don't care and neither does anyone else.

Cena taking over Punk's spot as the guy fighting the Authority? We saw in 2012 with his god-awful feud with Ace. Don't relive that, and it doesn't make sense with the Authority being on his side the last few months. The angle's deathly boring without Bryan in it so if you're gonna not have him in it, just quietly drop it.. Sheamus vs Wyatt, ugh... but at least we get the triple-threat.

The third option may be my favorite overall, you can stick Sheamus with Triple H so we can not care about them at the same time while we have a main event that we actually do. Great! Also that way a Batista heel turn is possible... no, no it's not, it's still WWE.

Still, I highly doubt any of this happens. Expecting Bryan/Hunter with no stip.

  4. I'm really looking forward to/hoping for Batista vs Orton.

if the RR crowd shit that hard on Orton vs Cena, the Mania crowd will absolutely destroy that shitty title match. fucking Orton lol

  5. I just don't see them putting any match not involving the WWE Championship on last, even if it's Bryan vs. HHH. It just doesn't make sense for them to do that. Also, you have to look at the fact that their "landmark" Manias have all ended with a "fresh" Champion/Champions (10 with Hart, 20 with Benoit and Eddie celebrating together) to give them that "revolutionary" feel. I just see Bryan being the guy holding the belt at the end of the night to mark the New Era of WWE (yes, I capitalized that on purpose). Orton or Batista holding it at the end of the night would just seem anti-climactic.

This is why Vince needs to work whatever magic he can work and promise whatever he needs to promise to get Punk back into the fold. Him being gone (if that's a real situation anyway) throws a huge monkey wrench (or spanner for our British friends) into the works.

  6. Gonna have to start calling you Rainard with posts like this. TLDR.

  7. Extreme rules is in Seattle? Oh boy, let's just keep screwing over Bryan until that point. That crowd will go absolutely bonkers for a WWE title shift in his home state.
