Totally agree with him on the Ryback. He has no credibility as a monster anymore.
Nice read, and pretty much the truth.
Always thought Scott Hudson was a good announcer for WCW in their final days.
Scott Hall was the one who came up with the Crow idea for Sting, for the record. Bischoff was simply bright enough to realize how good of an idea it was and went with it. Hall and Nash together also came up with most all of the main elements of the NWO, including the commercials with the grainy quality and the audio repeating, spray painting NWO on people's backs, etc. Bischoff says both of these things in his book.
As for Ryback, I agree completely with Hudson there, too. I think the issue is that Ryback should have probably been taken out of the world title scene as soon as he lost at HIAC. Destroy Brad Maddox for costing him the title, then go on a rampage killing people in order to get back to the top. This means debuting The Shield in a different way but that's not a big difference. Just have them attack Cena for the same reason they attacked Ryback (they didn't feel he deserved another shot at Punk.) It's not like their debut relied solely on Ryback or anything. Looking back on it, I think I probably would have preferred if they had went with the original rumored plan of Ryback shell shocking the Big Show to win the World Heavyweight Championship at Wrestlemania 29. That begs the question of how would Ziggler fit in to the whole equation with cashing in and winning the title or whether such a thing would even happen successfully but he's not exactly been made out to be an important champion thus far anyway, has he?
