The main event of Night 1 featured Roderick Strong defending the ROH World Television Championship against the “Stone Pitbull” Tomohiro Ishii. Since capturing the TV Title in October, Strong has been on a grueling quest to meet the best wrestlers from any promotion or style anywhere in the world.

At “Honor Rising” Night 1, Ishii defeated Strong to become the 11th ROH World Television Champion. Ring of Honor congratulates “CHAOS” member Tomohiro Ishii on his victory.ROH also wishes to recognize the amazing success achieved by the former two-time Champion Roderick Strong.

But Ishii’s victory has led to questions regarding Ring of Honor’s “14th Anniversary”, Friday February 26th live on Pay-per-View from Las Vegas and what will happen with the planned ROH World Television Championship match between Roderick Strong and Bobby Fish as well as Strong’s request for a rematch versus the new champion Ishii.

ROH and NJPW officials will meet on Sunday morning to discuss how events at “Honor Rising” will affect the final card for the “14th Anniversary” event.
