Since we have a few intellectuals, can any one recommend me some reading material?

  1. Just got finished with fight club so I need something new to read, my favorite books are currently The DaVinci Code, American Psycho and the aforementioned Fight Club if that helps in any way. However I am open to various genres, wanting more novels but if you know a really good autobiography or what ever let me know also please.

  2. Fifty shades of Grey.

In all seriousness, why not Regal's autobiography (I think he has one) or Jericho's? Or are you looking for something a bit more challenging?

  3. Go on with the series. Angels and Demons and The Lost Symbol's wonderful. I think my kind of books are not for you. Too much girly... :pP

  4. Mick foleys autobiographies are fantastic!

    __________

Also. All of Tom Clancy's works are great

  5. RE: Since we have a few intellectuals, can any one recommend me some reading material

Jericho's book is not available here... :((

Fifty Shades of Grey is too overrated. I find better erotic stories at Literotica.

Read both of Jericho's the second was great IMO, especially the short benoit chapter when he mentioned their kids playing together, just felt grittly real in another wise joking book. Also do you know not one of the Jericho family have lost to Mick Foley. Also is Regal's the life on the golden mile or something similar?

  7. I've started reading the Game Of Thrones books because I love the TV show.

  8. Re: RE: Since we have some reading material?

Read have a nice day and couldn't get into it sadly, how are the others? Countdown to Lock down is apparently really good, so I'll probably check that out actually, thanks. Agreed on Clancy also I have a lot of his work on my e reader already lol.

    __________

D/L it in PDF if you can't grab it any other way lol, I loved the second one.

Not into the TV show do you think it would be decent without that interest?

  9. Just finished Tom Clancy Netforce. Only 350 pages, and he calls some shit for the future, written in 99 about 2010. IMO worth a read.

  10. The Wheel of Time series if you like fantasy. Also the Belgariad followed by its sequal series the Mallorean

  11. RE: Since we have a few intellectuals

isnt it like 12 books and really small writing? Ill figure out what that is if not, as someone who suggest i read the GoT books also mentioned something else.

  12. Foley is good... Very good read...

So is hardcore diarys as well

  13. The cat in the hat :tough:

  14. The series is called "A Song of Ice and Fire". There are currently five books out of a planned seven. They are excellent and well worth the time spent reding them. The last book, "A Dance with Dragons", came out last summer. I read it in about three days while I was attending a conference and on the flight back home.

I also highly recommend the Vampire Chronicles by Anne Rice and The Stand by Steven King (be sure you get the unabridged version…trust me). Also, The Green Mile also by King.

As far as wrestler autobiographies go, all of the books by Foley are amazing as are Jericho's two books and Flair's. If it's not wrestling you want, check out Edmund Morris' three biographies of Theodore Roosevelt. If you like American politics (a particular interest of mine), try 1920: The Year of Six Presidents by David Pietrusza. I'm currently reading Killing Lincoln by Bill O'Reilly (I'm not sure he did all the historical research he should have on it) and I recently read Team of Rivals by Doris Kearns Goodwin about Lincoln's nomination, election, and Cabinet (absolutely amazing read). I'm on kind of a Lincoln kick after reading Seth Grahame-Smith's Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter (terrific, fun read).

Anyway, just some suggestions. If you want more, let me know.

Agreed on Angels and Demons and The Lost Symbol. If you liked TDVC, you'll love those two (as far as I'm concerned, they are both immensely superior books).

Not sure how many people will want to remember the connection there, also read a bit of the art of war. Tempted to read it just to attack people, heel style.

Definitely need to catch that one, also I think I'm the only person who hasn't seen the movie lol.
