Movies Star Wars VII: The Force Awakens

  1. Well I don't think it's been discussed/updated in awhile but we all knew JJ Abrams was directing the new Star Wars movie AKA Episode 7.. The name of the movie has officially been titled, "The Force Awakens".. A trailer has been composed already and is set to debut in front of every movie in 100 select theaters throughout North America so expect a leak for it either Friday night or Saturday morning. It hasn't been announced yet when every other theater worldwide will be showing the trailer but I'm sure it will probably come with the third installment of the Hobbit trilology.

  3. From what I heard it's definitely shaping up to be better than Episode 1 aka the Phantom Menace, which is cool by me because that movie was the worst of the whole saga that they've done so far.

  4. Episodes 1-3 suck, the worst movies I've ever seen. They had Darth Maul and few cool fights, but that's it. They didn't even feel like movies, rather like animated CGI crapfest. Not to mention Hayden ChristenWOAT and Natalie WOATman in that cringeworthy story. Puke galore.

I have some hopes for new trilogy, but not much. You can't have the same guy doing both Star Trek and Star Wars, it's unnatural, like incest. Therefore, the new Star Wars are gonna be the product of incest.

  5. JJ Abrams only is doing VII, I'm pretty sure they chose the guy who did the movie 'Looper' to take the other two over afterwards.

  6. Is this real? If so then... meh.

  7. Never mind.. it's a fan made trailer.. that's a relief..

  8. I was gonna say that looks pretty fan made haha.

  9. Here's the real deal fellas.

  12. Looks like the storm troopers won't just be clones and/or nameless and faceless anymore.

  13. Unless it's just someone in disguise (like Luke in the first one). Which is more likely.

  14. :okay: :sad1:

  15. That sith's lightsaber is pretty bad. It's something a 10 year old thought of that would look cool. It's not.

  16. I'll probably enjoy it regardless. I never minded episodes I - III or the remade versions really. I just loved that it was this epic story that spanned so many movies and I'm excited to see where they take it since they basically said all existing books that have been written in the Star Wars universe are null and void now.

Remember, this is a prequel to the Star Wars trilogy. Keep that in mind. The [original] Star Wars story arc ended at Star Wars 3 "Return of the Jedi." These stories are before Luke Skywalker became who he was in Star Wars. At least that's what I got from the early trailer. Millennium Falcon is still in.

[Okay, so, I read the Wikipedia entry for the film. It doesn't say prequel or sequel, just that the writer behind Empire Strikes Back/Return of the Jedi is doing the story, alongside George Lucas, who's consulting. It could be leaning towards one another. But I get the feeling that the saber is an early prototype of the lightsaber.]

New subject: Black Stormtrooper, go. A lot of people bitching about the black folk in the trailer, despite that there was a black folk in Star Wars 3D film/Animated film.

  18. It takes place 30 years after Return of the Jedi

  19. It's been noted that it will take approximately 30 years after 'Return of the Jedi' .. They do have that listed on the Wiki entry as well even though I heard it from a comicbook news mill site.
