THQ Files for Chapter 11 Bankruptcy!

  1. Ouch.
  2. So does this mean WWE games may be made elsewhere?
  3. Maybe Square-Enix will buy it and make a WWE RPG. I'd be down for some of that!
  4. Was pretty obvious this would happen when they had the Humble Bundle thing where you could buy like 5 games for less than 1 game. Shame to see really, they had some decent games.
  5. inb4 EA take over WWE 14.
  6. :idontcare:
  7. Any idea if WWE games are made by a in house studio or if they are just published by THQ?
  8. WWE games are made by Yuke's aren't they and THQ is the publisher?
  9. Yep, Cloud is right.

Developed by Yukes Inc and published by THQ.
  10. "Xbox360 and PS3 versions developed by THQ San Diego"

Edit: But then it says at the top "WWE ’12 and WWE Smackdown vs. Raw 2011 developed by YUKE’S Co., Ltd. YUKE’S Co., Ltd. and its logo are trademarks and/or registered trademarks of YUKE’S Co."
  11. Maybe Bethesda can have a swing at WWE 14.
    inb4 Sheamus is dovakiin
  12. Says Yuke's on wiki and THQ as publisher
  13. Here is to hoping 2K sports picks up WWE & keeps Yuke's.
  14. :ohgod: I sure hope not.

    2K > EA
  15. Why would anyone want this? They release half-assed games every year full of game breaking glitches.
  16. Yeah the WWE games are terrible.
  17. What's wrong with EA? Their sports games are pretty good iirc.
  18. Wow. Well, curious to see what happens to WWE Games. What about WWE '13? Aren't the servers run by THQ? What about DLC? Guess there will be no patches or anything.
  19. WWE released a statement addressing their video game partner, THQ, announcing bankruptcy.

"WWE is following the developments of THQ's bankruptcy filing today and proposed sale under Bankruptcy Code Section 363. The Company anticipates actively participating within this proceeding."
  20. They have no presentation! That and they screwed up Madden13.
Took out co-op season play, whatever its called. That was my favorite thing in the game. If you compare EA's Madden to 2K's NBA games, you can see the presentation difference.
