All Elite Wrestling is putting on their latest pay-per-view tomorrow (Sat., Nov. 9, 2019) - Full Gear!

After a free streaming pre-show which starts a half-hour earlier, the event starts at 8PM Eastern, and can be purchased on B/R Live (and traditional PPV) here in the U.S. & Canada, on ITV Box Office in the United Kingdom, and on Fite.tv everywhere else.

Full Gear is the first PPV since AEW started doing weekly shows on TNT. As such, we’ve had a more traditional build to a lot of the matches which will take place in Baltimore’s Royal Farms Arena. Those include three title bouts, and plenty of bad blood.

We’ve assembling our motley crew to give thoughts & predictions on each match on their PPV.

Let's get to it.

AEW Full Gear PREDICTIONS

Cody vs. Chris Jericho (c) for the AEW World championship

Sean Rueter: They shouldn’t do a title change this quickly, but they also probably don’t want to take one of the most over guys in the company out of the World title picture forever. The easiest way to get around the stipulation Cody placed on himself would be to have him turn heel and ignore it. But if that happens, we won’t get the epic MJF/Cody feud they’ve been setting up. Did I just talk myself into picking Cody? StepBrothers.gif Pick: Cody

Kyle Decker: They easily could go with Cody here. He’s super over and wouldn’t be a bad choice. But I don’t think they move on from Jericho just yet. He’s just settling in with the Inner Circle and still the stronger name for a young company. Taking Cody’s title hopes away from him would be a great heel move to get people to hate Jericho even more. Pick: Chris Jericho

Rev. Claire Elizabeth: I’m honestly a little shocked by how much I want Cody to win this after his promo on the go-home, but I don’t think that’s the story we’re telling here. Jericho over with Inner Circle interference, maybe the debut of a new member, then Cody feuds with the other Inner Circle guys before getting to introduce his own version of his dad’s WarGames. Hell, he even said “the match beyond” at one point in that promo. Pick: Chris Jericho

Cain A. Knight: Considering that AEW doesn’t have monthly PPVs, they really only need 4 or 5 championship contenders to get through a calendar year. So Cody can take the heartbreaking loss here, and then in a year from now they can tell the story of how he gets away from the restriction of this stipulation. The only bad outcome is the one where Cody wins by DQ, so that Jericho retains the title but Cody can still challenge for it. Pick: Chris Jericho

Tommy Messano (of the one-and-only Bros B4 Elbows pod): The chase should be longer, but after the Hard Times 2/Silver Spoon promo from Wednesday night, I’m going with Cody. Chris Jericho was the perfect choice for the first ever AEW champion. With all the momentum leaning towards Rhodes, maybe Full Gear is ripe for an upset. Pick: Cody

Manolo H. Pizzazz: I believe Chris Jericho will find a way to tip the scales in his favor by bribing the judging panel to turn a blind eye to the blatant assists he shall receive. Pick: Chris Jericho

Jon Moxley vs. Kenny Omega

Sean Rueter: This doesn’t count toward win/loss records. Can it still be considered for the rankings? Sorry, I get hung up on stuff like that. Anyway, remember that awesome Kenny Omega promo calling out Moxley for being unprofessional? Or those “I’m just getting started” teases from BTE? I wish they’d follow up on those. That they haven’t while giving Mox the juicy promos leads me to... Pick: Jon Moxley

Kyle Decker: It kind of feels like they’re getting away from Kenny’s losing streak story, not that it’d really matter here. This is an unsanctioned match. And while Kenny is known, he’s not as known as Jeeeeeern Moxley, so beating him would give him some more credit to those who don’t know him. Plus, it won’t hurt Mox too much because the match doesn’t count. Pick: Kenny Omega

Rev. Claire Elizabeth: Ohhhhh here comes that Mox trademark ultraviolence! I popped hard at the inclusion of CZW footage in the video package on the go-home and I’m hoping we get some of that, even if maybe AEW doesn’t want to put, say, the reciprocating saw to the forehead gimmick on camera. In any case, Omega’s not a stranger to hardcore violence, but this is Mox’s home turf and he’s fighting mad over this being unsanctioned, so I can only think this ends one way... Pick: Jon Moxley

Cain A. Knight: I still don’t really know much about the Kenny Omega character, and that seems like a big problem. But Moxley has hyped this up with expectations of extreme violence, and the constant barbed wire teases have to be paid off here, so this one could easily be the most captivating match of the night. Moxley is the more well-known star so I don’t think he will lose his first match on AEW PPV, even if for some dumb reason it technically doesn’t count. Pick: Jon Moxley

Tommy Messano: Sorry but The Cleaner does not got this. The story of Kenny Omega getting knocked down a few pegs and questioning his own ability is the one to tell here. Plus, Jon Moxley is rejuvenated, on fire, and could use another big win to build him up. Pick: Jon Moxley

Manolo H. Pizzazz: Hmm, quite the conundrum in choice of dueling implements of destruction. Bat has power, but broom has reach. I’d rather be whacked by a broom than a bat. So, bat beats broom. Pick: Jon Moxley

Riho (c) vs. Emi Sakura for the AEW Women’s World championship

Sean Rueter: Her popularity is pretty much the lone success of their women’s division. Dethroning her already would be dumb. Pick: Riho

Kyle Decker: With such a minimal build, there’s no reason to think they’ll do a title change here. They’ve done a great job getting Riho over and they shouldn’t stop that momentum. Pick: Riho

Rev. Claire Elizabeth: Riho is a somewhat unlikely freight train, but I don’t think our stop is up just yet. Pick: Riho

Cain A. Knight: Riho was pinned in the tag team match on the go-home show, so I think that means she’ll be winning here. Pick: Riho

Tommy Messano: Through one month of Dynamite on TNT, AEW’s women’s division has been pretty much an afterthought. Not a lot, if any, build for this match which is unfortunate. No juice means the champion retains. Pick: Riho

Manolo H. Pizzazz: Riho needs a sponsorship from Modelo beer for her fighting spirit. She may have been pinned in tag team action, but I think she will refuse defeat with the Women’s World Championship on the line. Pick: Riho

The Young Bucks (Matt & Nick Jackson) vs. Proud-N-Powerful (Santana & Ortiz)

Sean Rueter: Methinks we’re just starting another long “best tag team in the world bragging rights” program for the EVPs, so why not kick it off by putting over another of the division’s big free agent signing? Pick: Proud-N-Powerful

Kyle Decker:
If I say the Inner Circle gets the upperhand in the title match, then I’ll give the Elite the nod in this match. They need a little revenge after Santana and Ortiz made their debut at the expense of the Bucks. Pick: Young Bucks

Rev. Claire Elizabeth: It’s only so long before somebody in the Elite has to put the vanity into the phrase “vanity promotion”, and a Bucks victory (especially one by the skin of their teeth) does nothing to hurt the erstwhile EYFBO boys right now. Pick: Young Bucks (Matt & Nick Jackson)

Cain A. Knight: As long as Jericho keeps winning then the Inner Circle is fine, so the Young Bucks will take this one for The Elite. Pick: Young Bucks

Tommy Messano: After a disappointing one and done exit in the AEW Tag Team tournament, the Young Bucks win on Saturday night. Pick: Young Bucks

Manolo H. Pizzazz: Legit back alley brutes versus pretend street fighters. Edge to the proud and powerful. Pick: Santana & Ortiz

Hangman Page vs. PAC

Sean Rueter: Like AEW, I stubbornly still think there’s money to be made off Page. But he shouldn’t lose another high-profile match right now if he’s going to stay in the main event mix. PAC can absorb a loss and get back on track fairly quickly. Beating him here also avoids a potential heel vs. heel title match if Jericho retains. Pick: Hangman Page

Kyle Decker: PAC keeps rolling. They’ve positioned him as a top guy and he looks like he belongs there. Hangman is good, but feel they need to do a bit more with him to get him to the level of PAC. More than just saying “Cowboy shit.” Pick: PAC

Rev. Claire Elizabeth: God help me, I love AEW and I think they’re doing great work but I also can’t help but think this match was booked under a “well, we wanted to do this at Double or Nothing and that ended up off because PAC wouldn’t lose, so... now’s our chance!” mentality, and so... Pick: “Hangman” Adam Page

Cain A. Knight: Hangman has lost multiple important matches, and he could use a big win like this on PPV. But AEW has been careful to protect PAC, so I don’t think he will be used as the guy to help improve Page’s record. Pick: PAC

Tommy Messano: Making PAC an unstoppable bastard is the way to go here. Hangman just hasn’t done enough to pull off the upset here. Pick: PAC

Manolo H. Pizzazz
: The question here is if a bastard can handle cowboy shit. If this was no disqualification, I’d lean toward Hangman. Without ropes to hogtie PAC, PAC will be free to fly. Pick: PAC

Lucha Brothers (Pentagón Jr. and Rey Fénix) vs. SCU (Scorpio Sky & Frankie Kazarian) (c) vs. Private Party (Isiah Kassidy & Marq Quen) for the AEW World Tag Team championship

Sean Rueter: Scorp & Frank can always say they were the first champs, but I think that’s about it. Beating The Bucks is Quen & Kassidy’s big achievement for this year. Time to repay AAA for giving Kenny the Mega Championship. Pick: Lucha Bros

Kyle Decker: I don’t see SCU having a very long reign, but I don’t think it’ll be this short either. This match came together in the last minute and Private Party can prevent the Lucha Bros from being pinned/submitted in the loss. Pick: SCU

Rev. Claire Elizabeth: The SCU Cinderella story has to come to an end, but I don’t think it ends here and now, and I don’t think it ends until Daniels is able to reassert himself. So, therefore... Pick: SCU (Frankie Kazarian & Scorpio Sky)

Cain A. Knight: I find myself floored at just how incredible the Lucha Bros are, and how terrific Fenix is in particular. Based on that alone I’ll be rooting for them to win, but I don’t really see the point of SCU winning a lengthy title tournament just to drop the gold 10 days later. Pick: SCU

Tommy Messano: Still bummed the Lucha Bros didn’t win the AEW Tag Team Tournament. This match has a chance to steal the show or at very least the undercard. Picking solely with my heart, strap some gold around the waist of Pentagon Jr. and Fenix. Pick: Lucha Bros

Manolo H. Pizzazz: The feel-good story of SCU winning tag team gold will not be coming to an end just yet. I can’t visualize why, so I’ll go with Christopher Daniels’ presence being felt. Even if they have to have him there in a wheelchair ringside as a fallen angel. Pick: SCU

Shawn Spears vs. Joey Janela

Sean Rueter: For the love of Baby Doll, if Tully can’t strategize a way to beat the guy who was afraid to fight nZo, Peyton’s man might want to look for a new coach. Pick: Shawn Spears

Kyle Decker: It feels like they want Spears to be at least an upper midcard heel, especially with Tully at his side. So this match will help him pick up another win to bolster his stats. Pick: Shawn Spears

Rev. Claire Elizabeth: Please let Joey Janela beat this nerd and wrestle Tully Blanchard next. Pick: Joey Janela

Cain A. Knight: I don’t get Shawn Spears at all, he’s just not doing it for me right now. They need to find a better way to utilize Tully Blanchard to help Spears get over. It does seem like they are intent on pushing him, so I guess that means Janela will be abused by chairs in this one. Pick: Shawn Spears

Tommy Messano: Just openly rooting for Joey Janela in this match. Still have no idea what AEW can do with Shawn Spears. Watching Janela versus Spears closely, just to see if Tully Blanchard gets involved some how. Pick: Joey Janela

Manolo H. Pizzazz: Shawn Spears will rip out Joey Janela’s tongue and keep it in Tully Blanchard’s possession, which will lead to a tongue on a pole match for the next major event. Pick: Shawn Spears

Bea Priestley vs. Britt Baker

Sean Rueter: As Undisputed’s personal dentist, Britt probably flew to Florida so she could oversee Bobby Fish’s incisor replacement. As such, she’s probably tired and off her game. Pick: Bea Priestley

Kyle Decker: Britt is already established and has had a failed title attempt. So there’s no harm in Bea picking up the win to build her stature in a women’s division who needs more legit players. Pick: Bea Priestley

Rev. Claire Elizabeth: Bea is 1-2 in tag team action opposite the good doctor, and her one win was months ago. Wins and losses matter. Brush your teeth. Pick: Dr. Britt Baker, DMD

Cain A. Knight: AEW keeps telling me that Britt Baker is a big deal, so I guess that means she’s the favorite here. Pick: Britt Baker

Tommy Messano: Have you heard that Britt Baker is a dentist? Exactly. Pick: Britt Baker

Manolo H. Pizzazz: I’m rooting for Britt Baker, because I want to see her rip Bea Priestley’s jaw off her face. Nothing personal against Priestley. Just that I’ve never seen such a thing occur. That would have to be the first de-jawing in wrestling history, right? Pick: Britt Baker

That's who we've got. Who are you taking, Cagesiders?

I'm going to go with...

Moxley ~ He needs it more...plus its his first big match for the company...

Jericho
~ I mean its too early to change the title right? Although Solomonster
suggested that Jericho may drop the belt because of his upcoming NJPW
commitments...

Santana & Ortiz
~ They need the win...

Pac ~ If Cody does indeed win the top title...Pac is the most logical contender...

Bea ~ Would make sense to build her up for a match with Riho...especially
considering Riho needs a true heel to feud with...

Riho ~ Its too early for her to drop the belt...

SCU ~ Again its too early for SCU to drop the titles...as much as I'd like to see
Private Party win the belts...PUSH THE YOUNG GUYS!

Spears ~ He hasn't really achieved much & he needs to build some momentum...

I think the heels for the most part are going over & none of the titles are changing
hands.

Of course now I've said that...all 3 titles will change hands & every prediction I've
made will be wrong.
