Promotion has started for Rumble, WWE Studios collaboration with Paramount Animation. The movie doesn’t actually come out until 2021, but a trailer’s been running ahead of box office hit Sonic the Hedgehog, and an official poster was released today.
Becky Lynch and Roman Reigns are listed among the voice cast for this story about a teenager who tries to follow in her father’s footsteps by coaching an underdog for a match against a wrestling champion. But I don’t hear either of them in this first trailer.
Which, you should know before you check these out, is about a world where monsters are real and they pro wrestle.
Will Arnett is the lead underdog and main voice we hear. Based on the IMDB page, I’m guessing John Cena’s Blockers co-star Geraldine Viswanathan is Arnett’s coach. Terry Crews is the champ Tentacular, who looks to be an Apollo Creed-type. And that’s definitely Stephen A. Smith as an alternate dimension version of Stephen A. Smith.
Is this enough to get you ready to Rumble?
