Money in the Bank Big E Rumor

Now I am not sure how true this is, hence it just being a rumor, but this could mean something pretty big. This could possibly mean that down the road, Big E may end up being the first (true) black major champ (holding the big belt). I know I said I wanted Bobby to be that guy but I like Big E and he deserves the spot.

According to Give Me Sport, Mike Johnson of PWInsider claims The New Day star will join Braun Strowman, Finn Balor, The Miz and Rusev in the bout to kick off a singles career.

WWE announced that The New Day and The Bar, consisting of Sheamus and Cesaro, will go head-to-head next week on Smackdown in London for a place at Money in the Bank.

Johnson insists that this is the right time to break up the legendary tag team while they are popular and give Big E a singles run starting with a qualifying victory at the O2.

He said: “Big E moves onto the Money in the Bank match. He makes the most sense.

  2. I think Big E is a fantastic performer...he's big, strong, fast & has charisma for days.

I could (& would like to) see Big E as a World/Universal Champion.

His race/skin color doesn't mean anything to me personally...I just
think he's a great performer who deserves a "big" push.

  3. Yeah, I don't think it will be Big E will get it before Bobby. I mean neither guy is over, but I think Big E as a solo act wouldn't get much attention like Bobby would. Also, I have heard the rumored "third" MitB briefcase is for a shot at the tag team titles, but who knows.

BOBBY LASHLEY! I'LL BE A SON OF A BITCH!

  5. To me, the New Day has been stale for well over a year now but I never cared for them really to begin with.

  6. I prefered them seperated

  7. Very true. I do like the idea of them never turning on each other. I know its wrestling but I like the idea that they remain friends for years to come. Maybe you could split them up without having to turn them on each other.

  8. Big E is one of the most talented persons on the WWE roster... he has the physicality, the mic skills, the charisma, and the agility needed to make him a big star... when he got the IC title years back he was over at that time... he's been over with New Day and he will be over again as a solo performer. I cannot wait to cheer Big E on.. he's been one of my favorites for years now.

  9. I re fell in love with New Day last year because of their fued with the Usos. If Big E wins MitB and becomes the first black WWE Champion (No, Lashley winning the Universal Championship doesn't count for the same reason Booker T winning the World Heavyweight Championship doesn't count) would be a decision I would whole heartedly support

  10. I can get behind that. Big E. has it all, from look to mic skills to ring ability.

  11. Hear Hear!

  12. Big E is cool, but Kofi is underated. People that like New Day, tend to expect Big E to do all the work. Kofi would make a good champ. In-ring performance, he is definitely up there with Styles.

  13. They better keep Big E with New Day. He will be a lost puppy without them. Although I would like to see a New Day splitting up storyline. I'd like to see where they go with it

  14. Big E turning heel and beating up Kofi and Woods would suck balls

  15. Doubtful. Kofi and Big E would make it. Woods would be like Enzo... All mic, no wins.

  16. He can play his nerd strengths and be like a Santino character that does things for comedy. Nothing wrong with that.

  17. Well considering Woods can actually wrestle and has won singles matches (most recently former world champ Sheamus) and that Enzo became a champion by winning matches. I don't know how you came to that conclusion.

  18. I never said he wasn't good in-ring performance. WWE just doesn't know how to book. They think all the champions have to be big dudes or extremely huge names. Or both.. Example: Styles and Lesnar. Take for granted Styles actually has great in-ring performance, even though they severely limit it. Lesnar has in-ring performance, but apparently they just want to shows suplexes and F5s. They're just now starting to promote other cultures like Japan, UK, India.. etc.

Overall, WWE doesn't showcase their talent on the main brands very well, whereas indie promotions do. NXT does a good job of showcasing performance too. 205 Live, they don't showcase as much as they could, except for the Luchas. (Hence Luchas being my favorite entertainers in WWE)

  19. The fact AJ Styles is WWE champion shows times have changed. WWE has embraced indy culture

  20. A lot of Superstars have an Indy background though. Just AJ Styles is literally the best. Phenomenal isn't just his WWE gimmick. He actually is phenomenal at what he does.
