The People's Champion

Everybody who comes to Cageside Seats has an opinion about what's going on in pro wrestling - The Smark's Shoot Standings (S3) are where YOU let us know YOURS.

Cast a vote in the comments. Give us the four performers you think entertained or impressed the most in the last week, and feel free to talk about why. And/or vote for your top performer in our poll.

We also have the outcome of last week's voting, the results of which make up our annual competition for Performer of the Year.

Remember, the Standings are for the previous week’s nationally televised and internet streaming pro wrestling shows - NXT’s TakeOver: Vengeance Day event, the Feb. 15 episode of Monday Night Raw, Tuesday’s Impact & AEW Dark, MLW Fusion, NXT & Dynamite from Weds., Feb. 17, NJPW Strong, SmackDown & 205 Live on Friday, New Japan’s Road To Castle Attack shows, NXT UK, ROH TV, and any other televised or internet streaming wrestling released from Feb. 7 - 13, 2021.

Make YOUR mark, smarks!

I think the guy who finished seventh last week was on to something about why our winner’s alliance with Paul Heyman didn’t work out...

  • Is the former Hideo Itami here because he was the first NJPW star to wrestle on Dynamite, or because he told Kenny Omega to “Shut the **** up”? I know which it is in my headcanon.
  • Our fourth place finisher, on the other hand, is definitely here for screaming “MY HOLE!”
  • SmackDown’s Elimination Chamber match is well represented in addition to last week’s winner and seventh place finisher. Only a king and cousin missed the cut.
  • For only the second time since his return in August, a certain Head of the Table also failed to place in the Top Ten. The Boss he’s chasing for Performer of the Year picked up a few annual Standings points as usual.
  • While they ended up Dusty Cup bridesmaids for the second year in a row, you dug Grizzled Young Veterans semi-final win.
  • Congrats to the new AAA Cruiserweight/MLW Middleweight champ!
