According to Dave Meltzer on Wrestling Observer Live, it may be a while before NXT Champion Finn Balor winds up on WWE’s main roster. Despite the fact that the ultra-popular Balor is more than developed enough to be a star on Raw (and the fact that he’ll be 35 years old in July), WWE is currently planning on continuing to use him as the face of the NXT brand. Even if Balor loses his championship to Samoa Joe at NXT TakeOver: Dallas, “The Demon” may remain a part of NXT through the end of the year. That, of course, would make it difficult for a much-anticipated WWE Bullet Club reunion to happen any time soon. As for Samoa Joe, he could potentially wind up on the main roster within a couple of months – but it’s all contingent on the results of the Dallas special. While Joe was initially signed to remain on NXT indefinitely, talent issues on the main roster have brought up the possibility of his joining WWE proper. There were talks of bringing Joe up immediately after WrestleMania, but if he were to win the NXT Title, that would delay his Raw debut.
