This week’s episode of Monday Night Raw featured the second and final night of this year’s annual WWE draft. There was some concern over what kind of viewership boost it would give the show, considering it didn’t do all that much for Friday Night SmackDown last week.
That concern turned out to be mostly unfounded.
Indeed, this week’s show drew 1.85 million viewers, a nice bump up from 1.68 million last week. The hourly breakdown did show a big drop from the start to the finish:
Hour one: 2.01 million
Hour two: 1.88 million
Hour three: 1.68 million
The show was headlined by the women’s battle royal to determine who would wrestle Asuka for the Raw women’s championship next week, which was won by Lana. There was a lot more interest in just how the draft would shake out right off the rip.
There was also lesser than usual competition from Monday Night Football, which was down to just under 11 million viewers for the Chargers vs. Saints game.
