The Live Discussion about the NXT @ The Arnold Expo episode that airs on 3/18/15 will take place here! or rather in the Chat if you decide to use that instead.

Last week we pretty much just threw a discussion together at the last second and it seemed to do alright so I felt like making the discussion thread this week a few days earlier than the same day to see if we get any more people interested in joining the crowd that showed up last week.

I personally hope they show a lot of footage and make the show last the entire hour on the network.. there was a lot there! Hulkster showed up, Ryback, Big Show & Trips was there as well as almost every NXT star.

Next week's episode should go/should've gone like this (these were taped after the Rival event)

    Show Spoiler

    * Finn Balor defeated Tye Dillinger with a stomp. Tyler Breeze appears on the big screen and cuts a promo on Balor after the match.

    * Bayley vs. Becky Lynch vs. Charlotte in a #1 contender's match is next. Becky wins after pinning Bayley while Charlotte had Bayley in a Figure Four.

    * Hideo Itami vs. CJ Parker is next. Itami gets the pin after a kick.

    * Rhino squashed an unknown wrestler with a Gore. Fans chanted "you still got it, never lost it!" at him.

    * Kevin Owens vs. Alex Riley is next. Riley got some offense in but Owens won with a powerbomb. Owens beats up Riley after the match until Sami Zayn makes the save. They brawl and Sami hits a big top rope dive. Sami stands tall to end the episode.

So yeah, it should be interesting to see how they air it and whether it'll be matches taped weeks before this event in Columbus or the ones from Columbus.
  3. No problemo :emoji_slight_smile:
  4. Jesus, spoiler alert would be nice. Didn't think I had to watch out for spoilers on next week's show when discussing this week's.
  5. You came into a thread with a spoiler tag on it, doe. But there's a spoiler alert in my post now, so all should be cool, I guess.

However... Interested to see if the next week's episode is gonna be aired in its entirety (from the Columbus show) or if it'll be shown/mixed up with the stuff that's written in my post (with spoiler alert on it).
  7. Dats my fault, I put spoiler tags on the discussion threads I make simply because they have spoilers as the show goes on!

Some people do it differently, it's all good though!
  8. Sounds like it'll be an alright episode, it looks like those may be the only two matches they'll air during it because they were decently long from what I remember.. but the behind the scenes look at the experience should be pretty cool.. may even interest some of you guys into checking it out next year.
  9. Sweet! I'll be watching, but not tonight, doe.

Cesaro vs Neville was the ME, but I doubt they're gonna be showing it...
  10. I think from what I've heard the KO & Riley match take a good 20 minutes and the Alexa Bliss & Sasha Banks match is about 8-10 so idk what they're going to show for the last part of it, probably stuff about Hulk Hogan and Triple H being there at the WWE Experience "booth" for that weekend.
  11. Not entirely sure why they would want to leave that out- what with it having the potential to be incredible.
    • Agree Agree x 1
  12. Couldn't agree more.

People have said it was MOTN & MOTY material.

If it doesn't get aired tonight, I hope they save that whole show for the Network and air it in the future.
  13. Was it an Arnold match or was it a match that was pre-taped for what was supposed to be the entire March 17th episode?
  14. Alright, this should be good to go.

It was taped at the Columbus event, actually... and not on what was supposed to be the originally scheduled March 18th episode.

Here are the entire TV tapings from the event:

    Show Spoiler

    - Thanks to Brian Hatch for texting the following WWE NXT live event spoilers from tonight's show in Columbus, Ohio. Some of these matches were taped for a future airing on the WWE Network.

    * JoJo was the ring announcer. It's a packed, rowdy crowd and they are ready for some wrestling.

    * Corey Graves came out to kick off the show as the host.Triple H then came out to a big pop and a "holy s--t" chant. He also got a "thank you Hunter" chant. It's announced that they are taping the event for the WWE Network.

    * Hideo Itami and Finn Balor defeated The Vaudevillians in a very exciting opener. Itami got the hot tag and pinned Aiden English for the win. Itami and Balor were very much over with the hot crowd.

    * Alexa Bliss defeated NXT Women's Champion Sasha Banks by count out. They both got good reactions but some of us are aware that Bliss is from the area. Bliss getting the upset was a good hometown moment and got a pop.

    * Tyson Kidd comes out with his WWE Tag Team Title belt and gets a huge pop. Baron Corbin also gets a good reaction. Corbin is usually the most over in his matches but Kidd had good reactions all throughout, including a "meow" chant. Corbin ended up getting the win after catching Kidd in End of Days. Fans booed Corbin after the win and he played the heel role well.

    * NXT Tag Team Champions Murphy and Blake are out next. Carmella, Enzo Amore and Colin Cassady are out next to a huge pop. The crowd eats up their pre-match promo and Carmella looks great. Blake vs. Cass is next. Fans chanted for Blue Pants to come out early on but unfortunately she didn't appear. Blake rolled up Cass while he was distracted and grabbed a handful of tights to get the win.

    * The Connor The Crusher video is shown.

    * Big Show is out next to huge heel heat. Ryback comes out to not much better and we have a match. Fans start with CM Punk chants. This match is not wanted at all it seems. Ryback tried getting a "feed me more" chant going at one point but the crowd responded with CM Punk chants. They go to chanting for Blue Pants again. The highlight of this match is the chants easily - "NXT" and "please retire" chants at Big Show, also "we want Divas." Ryback ended up getting win with Shellshocked. Very interesting match here, the crowd made it.

    * Kalisto vs. Tyler Breeze is up next. Breeze gets a big pop and got the win with a Beauty Show. This was another very competitive match with lots of good spots.

    * Ric Flair is out next to a pop. Flair praises Charlotte and introduces her. Bayley is out next and we have our second Divas match. They chanted "better than Reigns" at one point. Charlotte gets the win with Natural Selection but Bayley was over more. Flair comes in and hugs Bayley after the match. Charlotte also shows respect.

    * Alex Riley vs. NXT Champion Kevin Owens is next. They both got good pops and Riley is fired up. Owens was over big time all throughout and won with a powerbomb. After the match, Owens went to powerbomb Riley on the apron but Finn Balor made the save. Balor and Owens brawled to a big reaction.

    * Sami Zayn came out in street clothes and cut an amazing promo about how proud he is to be in NXT and being proud of the rest of the locker room.

    * Adrian Neville vs. Cesaro is the main event. This was an awesome match, definitely the match of the night and will easily be a match of the year contender. "Push Cesaro, he's too Swiss" was a big thing here. Cesaro ends up getting the win with a Neutralizer after a crazy back and forth finish. I hope this one airs because the whole match but especially the end was must-see.
