NXT delivered a pretty loaded show for their live premiere on USA and WWE Networks on Weds., Sept. 18. They’ve also got some big things cooking for next week (Sept. 25). But you know Triple H & team will be planning a huge episode for Oct. 2, when for the first time in a long-time, a WWE show goes head-to-head, live, with another wrestling show.

That competition will come from All Elite Wrestling on TNT, and the NXT brass know pretty much what Cody Rhodes & company have lined up for two weeks from tonight. Which allows them to counter-program, and give fans a competing Women’s championship match to consider when AEW has Riho & Nyla Rose fighting to be that company’s first titleholder.

Candice LeRae earned the #1 contender spot this week, and she won’t have to wait long to try and turn it into a belt:

That’s all we know of for sure so far, but it’s possible we could be getting a men’s title bout, too. Or will they hold that to go opposite Chris Jericho’s first AEW World title defense on Oct. 16?

Welcome to war.
