Triple H’s current strategy for the Wednesday Night War remains to use his deep pool of talent to put on a wide array of really good wrestling matches. That’s what NXT did on Weds., Oct. 9, and it looks like it’s what they’ll do next week, too.
Here’s what they set up for the Oct. 16 show:
- Pete Dunne vs. Damien Priest
- Tommaso Ciampa vs. Angel Garza
- Keith Lee vs. Dominick Dijakovic
- Tegan Nox vs. TDB
We also know that Oct. 23 will feature a rematch of Velveteen Dream vs. Roderick Strong for the North American title. And they’re building to a Rhea Ripley vs. Bianca Belair #1 contenders match which should be an absolutely blast.
AEW has the buzz right now, but NXT’s roster and Triple H’s booking philosophy are in line with the company “marathon not a sprint” line.
Let the battle continue.
