News NXT on USA starts with Triple H & a new challenger for Baszler

NXT premiered live on USA Network tonight (Weds., Sept. 18), and when the broadcast started, we were greeted by a promo from the “father” of the show - Triple H.

It was pre-taped, brief, and consisted of pretty much the same messaging we’ve been hearing about the black-and-yellow brand. Then, Haitch threw back the curtain on Full Sail Live and turned it over to his roster. Starting with the ladies.

The Fatal 4Way to determine the #1 contender for Shayna Baszler’s Women’s title started with Candice LeRae going right after her friend-turned-enemy Io Shirai, and featured an opportunity for Bianca Belair & Mia Yim to show off, too.

At the end, it was the one woman who’s never challenged the Queen of Spades who earned the right to deal with the Horsewomen:
