News NXT to feature a lot of Raw and SmackDown this week

The People's Champion
And SmackDown is getting some NXT, too.

Last night (Nov. 18) on Raw, Triple H told the stars of the red and blue brands there was an “open door” for them to come to NXT tomorrow in Florida.

Careful what you wish for, @TripleH.

See you Wednesday on @WWENXT. #SurvivorSeries

It’s build for Survivor Series on Sunday, which added the Wednesday night show to its mix this year to expose fans of WWE’s more well-known programs to the black-and-gold brand. That’s important because NXT is now on national television and, you might have heard, airing head-to-head with upstart AEW’s TNT series, Dynamite.

It’s also kind of what NXT fans were worried about when the show went live, expanded to two hours and moved to USA Network after All Elite’s TV plans were revealed? Sure, Roman Reigns and Hulk Hogan haven’t show up yet like Chris Jericho mockingly said they would, but there’s been an increased focus on outside business this month for NXT.

In addition to the “open door”, WWE also announced that a match many of us thought might be on Saturday’s TakeOver: WarGames card will now take place on Nov. 20 at Full Sail. Even curiouser than the Pete Dunne/Killian Dain/Damian Priest Triple Threat going down on USA instead of WWE Network is the stipulation.

Whoever wins gets a shot at Adam Cole’s NXT championship - on Friday’s episode of SmackDown. Cole also has a ladder match against Dominik Dijakovic tomorrow, which will determine who gets the advantage in his WarGames match on Saturday.

We’ll see how that goes. There is some Undisputedly (see what I did there?) good news about Wednesday’s NXT line-up. New Day winning the SmackDown Tag titles took The Revival out of Survivor Series‘ Triple Threat between champs, but in a showdown they’ve been setting up since last Friday, we will get to see Top Guys Dash Wilder & Scott Dawson against The Undisputed ERA’s Kyle O’Reilly & Bobby Fish:

Well... put your money where your mouth is then. Until you’re a record holding 3 time @WWENXT tag-team champion (the most prestigious tag title in the World) you’ll be forever known as ‘the guys who laid the foundation’ not the guys who took ‘your house’ into the stratosphere. Dash on Twitter

That should rule.

Beyond that, the big question is what NXT will look like after The Battle For Brand Supremacy™ is a wrap.

We shall see.
