The WWE Women’s Tag Team titles were on the line at Elimination Chamber on Sun., Feb. 21, but the challengers also had new allies and a potential WrestleMania 37 main event in the mix. And before SmackDown Women’s champion Sasha Banks & Royal Rumble winner Bianca Belair entered the ThunderDome, they shared a backstage segment with Carmella’s sommelier Reginald where The EST teased announcing her pick after the match against Nia Jax & Shayna Baszler.

While the announcers questioned Belair & Banks’ ability to work together against the Tag champs, there were no signs of trouble in the early going.

It'll take unique offense like this to knock off @NiaJaxWWE & @QoSBaszler. #WWEChamber pic.twitter.com/YbULAsMyw5

Sasha spent a long stretch of the match in peril, but she was able to survive and show off more teamwork with Belair to nearly end things with a frog splash...

....and a K.O.D. to Baszler. Jax pulled her partner to safety, and a frantic stretch followed.

A title change seemed possible when Reginald showed up, handing Banks a champagne bottle she could have used to put Nia away. But when she rejected the opportunity to return to her old heel Boss ways, Jax capitalized with a Samoan Drop, and the champs retained.

Not only did we not get a title change, we didn’t get any clarity on who Belair will challenge on April 10 or 11. Reggie’s dreams of wooing the Blueprint aren’t going well, either.
