    Honor Rising - Night 1
Friday February 19th - Korakuen Hall

    ROH World Television Championship
Roderick Strong (c) vs Tomohiro Ishii

“Roddy vs the World” continues as Strong returns to Japan to battle the “Stone Pitbull” and former NEVER Openweight Champion. Since winning the ROH World Television Championship from Jay Lethal, Roderick has been defending his title against all comers with unique fighting styles.

Ishii is a no-frills, straight-forward fighter with a style and signature toughness all his own. The former four-time NEVER Openweight Champion also can withstand seemingly inhuman amounts of punishment. A great main event for Night 1 of Honor Rising.

ROH World Champion Jay Lethal and Tetsuya Naito vs IWGP Heavyweight Champion Kazuchika Okada and Yoshi-Hashi

A very interesting tag team match in the semifinal of Night 1 finds the ROH World Champion and IWGP Heavyweight Champion on opposite sides of the ring. And can Lethal trust his own tag team partner? Naito has aligned himself with the former Takaaki Watanabe, now known as “King of Darkness” EVIL and Bushi to form “Los Ingobernables de Japon”, a group known for their complete lack of respect for anyone in their way.

Okada pairs with his CHAOS mate Yoshi-Hashi and looks to lead his team to a win. “The Rainmaker” overcame his nemesis, Hiroshi Tanahashi at Wrestle Kingdom 10 to retain the IWGP Heavyweight Championship in the biggest win of his career. But Jay Lethal believes he is the Greatest Wrestler in the World and a win over Okada at Honor Rising would add to the ROH World Champion’s impressive hit list of victims.

    KUSHIDA vs Frankie Kazarian

A win by Kazarian in this non-title affair will put him in line for a shot at the IWGP Junior Heavweight Championship down the line. KUSHIDA went through a war with BUSHI at The New Beginning in Niigata so will the master of the “Hoverboard Lock” be ready for the “Heavy Metal Rebel”?

    Eight Man Tag Team Match
Tomoaki Honma, Hiroshi Tanahashi, “Unbreakable” Michael Elgin and Moose vs BULLET CLUB (Bad Luck Fale, Tama Tonga, Yujiro Takahashi and Cody Hall)

Four fan favorites vs four complete rule breakers highlight this Eight-Man tag that promises to be a wild affair. Elgin and Moose have battled to become the Number One Contender for the ROH World Title and Elgin teams with Tanahashi vs the Briscoes at the 14th Anniversary event the following Friday on Pay-per-View. Honma’s “never give up” attitude has made him tremendously popular with Japanese fans and he’s on the best run of his career. Tanahashi’s star power and talent make this match even more special.

These four will face the quartet from BULLET CLUB including the “Bad Boy” Tonga, the massive Fale, the “Ladies’ Man” Takahashi and the second-generation Cody Hall. These four will look to win by seizing control of the numbers game and breaking every rule in the book!

Mark and Jay Briscoe vs “Machine Gun” Karl Anderson and Doc Gallows

Controversy, an outspoken nature and a propensity for violence are three things these teams have in common. A rematch from “War of the Worlds” in May, 2014 where “Guns and Gallows” successfully defended their IWGP Heavyweight Tag Team titles in a hard-hitting brawl and the same is expected at Honor Rising!

The Briscoes made their Tokyo Dome debut at Wrestle Kingdom 10, picking up the NEVER Openweight Six Man Championship with their partner, Toru Yano over the BULLET CLUB so Anderson and Gallows will look to get revenge.

reDRagon (Bobby Fish and Kyle O'Reilly) and Katsuyori Shibata vs “The Cleaner” Kenny Omega and the Young Bucks (Matt and Nick Jackson)

At Wrestle Kingdom 10, the Young Bucks took the IWGP Junior Heavyweight Tag Team titles from reDRagon while Shibata became the NEVER Openweight Champion. But the moves made by Omega and the Bucks in 2016 have made “the Elite” three of the biggest players in the world of Professional Wrestling. Now that Omega is the IWGP Intercontinental Champion, this six-man match will have intensity and athleticism second to none and will be a showcase for six of the finest athletes in the world.

    Delirious vs Gedo

A rematch from “War of the Worlds” in Philadelphia in 2015 finds these two intense athletes ready to gain a victory in the historic Korakuen Hall. Gedo surprised Delirious in their initial meeting but Delirious as of late has stepped up his in-ring game.

Dalton Castle and Ryusuke Taguchi vs Jushin “Thunder” Liger and Matt Sydal

Both Castle and Taguchi bring an unorthodox offensive style to the ring and will be a unique pairing to say the least. Liger and Sydal are a match made in Heaven but can they overcome the Party Peacock and the Funky Weapon?
