Seth Rollins feud with The Internet may be continuing.

It was only a few weeks ago when The Beast Slayer found himself in hot water. Thanks to some questionable comments about Jon Moxley and awkward as ever Twitter feud with Will Ospreay, Rollins’ foot was firmly planted in his mouth.

Now it sounds like Rollins is taking another crack at becoming WWE’s vocal locker room leader.

Sitting down with Yahoo Sports, Rollins was asked by reporter Anthony Sulla-Heffinger why it is cool to hate WWE. An interesting worded question netted an equally interesting answer from Rollins.

“We’re the New York Yankees. It’s easy to hate the New England Patriots. We’re those teams, we’re the dynasty. It’s easy to hate us, but we’re still the most popular company in the world at what we do. We’re so far beyond being a wrestling company that it’s very easy to point the finger and hate on us. That’s the cool thing to do, it makes perfect sense to me, it’s how it’s always been in sports and entertainment, you always hate the big guy. It’s fine, I’m not upset about it at all.

I just want people to understand and appreciate the things we go through and the fact that we’re always trying to do our best. Nobody is taking it easy, nobody is just getting by. Everybody from top to bottom, every department in the entire company is putting in as much work as they possibly can to make this the best.”
Think often times this where a large portion of the miscommunication between wrestlers, fans, and media lives. Critics of WWE don’t hate the company, but like a New York Yankees team with the a large payroll or a stacked New England Patriots roster, a lot of times a promotion/team that looks good on paper falters in practice.

Also the vast majority online dislike towards WWE is directed very specifically at their management and creative, not their roster.

Thoughts on what Seth Rollins was trying to get at here?

This is just silly, if WWE is an "easy target" well it might because insulting your fanbase for so long will have some kind of backlash at some point eventually... He also doesn't realize that playing the victim like this will have the opposite effect, people are gonna dislike him and WWE even more. I am still a fan of Seth, I am one that will always separate the performer and the person. But a lot of people don't and they will judge him for that and I totally understand them.

It takes a great heel to make a great babyface.

Without Vince, there is less Austin.
