WWE World Heavyweight Champion Roman Reigns kicked off SmackDown to a big reaction, mostly boos. Reigns cuts a promo similar to RAW, about how he's "THE" guy, not good or bad. AJ Styles comes out to a big pop and they trade promos. Reigns talks down to AJ and leaves the ring with AJ looking on. Styles and Cesaro vs. Kevin Owens and Chris Jericho is announced

    * The Vaudevillains vs. Sin Cara and WWE United States Champion Kalisto is first. Good pop for Aiden English and Simon Gotch for the entrance but the match felt like a Superstars taping. Kalisto took the pin after a double team. The Vaudevillains celebrated after the match

    * Natalya defeated Summer Rae with a Sharpshooter. WWE Women's Champion Charlotte and Ric Flair were on commentary. Charlotte and Natalya had a staredown after the match but Charlotte left without anything happening

    * WWE Intercontinental Champion The Miz retained over Zack Ryder. Maryse came out after Ryder but didn't get much of a pop, then introduced her husband. Maryse ended up interfering, allowing Miz to hit the Skull Crushing Finale for the win

    * Backstage segment with The Dudley Boyz talking about Roman Reigns

    * Apollo Crews defeated Curtis Axel in a fairly quick match. Good pop for Crews, better than The Vaudevillains

    * Backstage segment with Becky Lynch talking about the WWE Women's Title. Emma interrupts to set up a match

    * Backstage segment with Baron Corbin talking about Dolph Ziggler

    * Dean Ambrose squashed Tyler Breeze. Huge pop for Ambrose. After the match, Chris Jericho came out for the next match and they traded looks on the ramp

    * Vignette for Primo and Epico from Puerto Rico airs

    * Jericho cuts a heel promo in the ring but it looks like it was dark for a commercial. Kevin Owens, Cesaro and AJ Styles are out for their tag match. Good pops for everyone here

    * Cesaro and AJ Styles defeated Kevin Owens and Chris Jericho in a solid main event. Sami Zayn came out at the end and wanted to fight but officials held him back. This led to AJ rolling a distracted Owens up for the win. After the match, Owens went at Sami on the floor and laid him out. The Dudley Boyz ran down and attacked AJ in the ring until Roman Reigns made the save. AJ and Reigns cleared the ring and stared each other down. They shook hands, still staring at each other, to end the show

  2. Solid show. I'm hyped for Reigns v. Styles. But Ryder losing the title is bogus.
  3. Still hope this leads to a Ryder and Ryder's Happy Dad vs Miz and Miz's Legendary Dad match. Maybe with Maryse and Emma involved

  4. Doesn't seem like a bad episode on paper. I'll be watching!
  5. Well back to the jobber status Ryder... They should really push him and have him win the belt back. I know WWE owes the Miz for 2 24 hour reigns but for real, they owe Ryder more.
  6. Had a feeling Ambrose and Y2J were gonna feud.
  7. Ryder might win the belt back, apparently he was scripted pissed backstage. Maybe this is leading to a long term feud where he will get it back.
  8. I see it happening, but he'll be knocked off the pedestal as soon as he loses it again. He'll get Big E'd until he can find something to do or get another chance or get released.
  9. I might start crying then...Since Ryder is from LI he is like how i react to the mets, fucking bonkers... If they used this man just so Maryse can get heat on Total Divas then I'm gonna slap someone
  10. It was a decent episode.

Reigns/AJ stuff was fine, The Vaudevillains' debut was a'ight, Crews' SD debut was a'ight, as well.

At the 1:04 mark, Adam Rose takes a sick bump on the apron. Could've fucked himself up there.

Cesaro & Styles vs KO & Y2J was a good, fun ME.
  11. That Apollo Crews graphic on the bottom part of the screen looks so ugly. It looks so amateur.
  12. Not sure if I should bother with SD reviews. Lol
  13. If you're in the mood, go for it!

  14. I'm... not, though. :haha:

But God bless Mauro Ranallo... and maybe it's from watching Raws where they cut match times, but the roster seemed really motivated tonight in the ring. 8/10, liked this. :emoji_slight_smile:

  16. Lmao I love how other people remember Miz's dad haha.

One more thing, PB, was how you responded to see Ambrose again. Man, I was defending that match happening and all, but he seems much more close to Wyatt territory than I previously imagined. It was just sad to see the guy, lol

  17. LOL, who could forget The Miz's old man?! He's awesome!

Is it just me or did it seem like Ambrose's fire/intensity/whatever you wanna call it wasn't there? Like, Idk, as you put it, it was just sad to see the guy.
    I hope he doesn't get Wyatt'd.

His Payback feud is probably with Jericho. I guess we'll find that out tonight.

  18. I'd be saying that about Raw. Sure, SD is taped and we all know the results going in, but it's still so much easier to sit through. Don't find yourself complaining as much either. For me anyways.

  19. Thought this week's episode was awesome, thought the roster stepped up big time and most of the squashes were fun - poor Tyler though :emoji_slight_frown: But yeah, Smackdown doesn't have the... For lack of a better word, creative burden on having to worry about storylines and such. It's almost a weekly televised house show, and the wrestlers clearly love it. Plus it's 2 hours. Always find myself entertained by SD but don't have the energy sometimes and sure that 2 people would read, lol

And the threads themselves are easy to ignore, ha
