  1. Some of you may have noticed I wasn't on all day.. I was at home trying to deal with my Mom/Sister... today my Mom had to make the decision to remove her boyfriend/fiancee from a breathing machine that was keeping him alive.. his quality of life was not going to improve following surgery to repair a collapsed lung.. his brain had sustained too much damage following a lack of oxygen from when he was unable to breath on his own.

It has been a terrible day for me and as I left to return back to my house my Mother & Sister were both still pretty distraught. I was also somewhat close with my Mom's boyfriend and it hasn't been easy on me either.

Just letting you all know what is up. Any thoughts for my family or well wishes are certainly appreciated.
  2. Sorry to hear, brother. Important decisions are always rough.
  3. That's terrible news mate, really sorry to hear this.
  4. Really sad for you. :[[ It feels like you killed him, but if you didn't remove the life support, it just makes the patient endure tremendous pain longer. :[[
  5. Sorry too hear it bro.
  6. I'm sorry to hear this, I hope you and your family are okay.
  7. Damn I entered this thread expecting something funny because you made it but this is horrible. Hope things are okay with you and your family. Your Mum had to make a pretty brave decision, the same decision mine had to make years ago too. At least you can all support each other. It only gets easier from here though, that's the way to look at it.
  8. Stay strong and don't lose heart. All bad things come to past and your future is looking brighter. We talk often, but I am certain you are heading in the right direction. Keep positive
  9. Oh geez... nothing you ever want to see. Terrible news.

Praying for you, your mom and your family, time heals all wounds, and lets hope you all can move on from this quickly. It's all you can do.
  10. Terrible news, bro.

All the best to you and your family. Stay strong.
  11. Thanks for the kind words everyone.
