  1. What are, IYO, the greatest finishes to a match in WWE history?

  2. sasha vs Bayley at Takeover brooklyn.. the hurracanrana from the top rope to the Bayley to Belly with the crowd going ape shit was awesome... also MITB 2011, where punk walked out with the title

  4. That was hardly the greatest match in WWE history.

  5. Does this pertain to just WWE or it's subsidiaries like AWA, ECW, WCW etc etc, as well?

  6. thats why i said it.. it is a 'finish' to a match, not the match itself

  7. Triple H vs. Booker T at WrestleMania 19 had the greatest finish in history :jeritroll:

  8. i disagree.. Melina vs Alicia Fox had the best finish of ALL TIME

  9. The finish to Benoit-HHH-HBK at Mania 20.

    wk

  10. HBK vs Y2J at WMXIX is near the top, if post match counts as well. Jericho at his best.

  11. Well, the Curb Stomp into RKO from last year's Mania springs to mind. That was dope.

  12. HBK Vs Bret, Survivor Series 1997. Along with being one of the most significant moments in wrestling history for it's non kayfabe elements alone, the finish gave birth to one of the biggest heel characters in Mr. McMahon. No match finish has ever been more talked about which IMO takes it straight to the top of the list. A monumental moment in pro wrestling history.

  13. For overall pop and feel good moment...when Foley won the title from the Rock on Raw. Jan 4 1999 I think the date was

  14. While kinda basic by today's standards, I marked out HARD for Warrior vs. Hogan at WrestleMania VI. To that point, I had never seen anyone break up the Hulk-Up sequence before. When Hogan went into it I completely deflated (I was a big Warrior mark and I was already sick of Hogan...two years into my fandom, no less). When Warrior avoided the leg drop I started just screaming, and it just got louder when Warrior hit another splash and got the win.

  15. Shelton vs HBK ending is worth noting.

Quite a few randy RKO finishers (Seth and Evan Bourne)

  16. Orton's RKO on Evan Bourne wasn't a match. It was during a brawl leading to Money in the Bank 2010.

  17. It sure as hell finished that fight, but thanks for knit picking (replaces it with the RKO finish to RVD)

  18. The Wrestlemania 13 submission match between Bret Hart and Steve Austin. I think it was really the only good match on the card and the double turn was done so well. It was that ending that went on to define Steve Austin's character.

  19. Agree completely. This was such a monumental moment. It was the first time, as you mentioned, anyone had broken up the Hulking Up sequence, it was the first time, I think, that anyone had kicked out after being hit by Hogan's leg and it was the first time in YEARS that anyone had pinned Hogan cleanly. It was very significant.

At the time, I was still a Hogan mark, though, so I didn't enjoy the outcome as much as you. But it was very significant and shocking at the time. Thank God very shortly after I stopped caring about Hogan.

  20. It wasn't. Warrior avoided the leg drop, so he didn't have to kick out of it. It's the first time I believe the move missed, though.
