What was the best year in the WWE?

  1. I wonder this a lot i think 1996 and 1997 were tie for the best!
  2. IMO it was around 2004/5 :emoji_slight_smile:
  3. 1999. Austin/Rock/HHH/Taker/Mankind were all bonafide stars and their characters in that year couldve been the top guy in every year since, if you placed them in one of the last few eras. Funny though, 99 boasted one of the worst Manias ever (15).
  4. 99/00 for me as it was when I went from a casual to diehard fan.
  5. 2001 IMO.
  6. 2010

  7. For me it would have to be the years Stone Cold was in it. Honestly though, I don't think I could pick a specific year.
  8. 2007, I'm honestly guessing. I have bad memory at the moment.
  9. 1996: REALLY Bad Ass Stone Cold
    1997: Bad Ass Stone Cold
1998: Sorta Bad Ass Stone Cold
1999: Bad Ass Fan Favorite Stone Cold
    2000: Mushy
2001: Got beat up by Debra (enough said)
    2002: Mid Card Stone Cold
    2003: Annoying Stone Cold
  10. How was he mushy in 2000. He had to get neck surgery, and he returned twice to two massive pops. To top it all off he destroyed Rikishi on many occasions, and did a hell of a job at Armageddon.
  11. He was mushy compared to 96-99 by he wasn't bad ass, he destroyed Blackman in his second return just 5 months after his first, he didn't wrestle a match (understandable) but the guy wasn't the same it kinda was like he lost his edge.

You can call my view on him bias since i hated the year 2000 in WWF and WCW and ECW.
  12. 98
    or 99

I honestly did not watch until 98. I don't think I ever enjoyed WWE as much as I did the first two years while watching.
  13. There's too many great years to pick just one. 1997-2001 (Attitude Era), 2003, 2005, etc. I might go with 1998. We got Austin vs McMahon, Taker vs Kane, the whole "Are Undertaker and Kane on the same side or not" storyline, the DX vs Nation feud, HHH vs Rock over the Intercontinental Title (which produced two great matches... a 2/3 falls match at Fully Loaded and a ladder match at Summerslam), the birth of Corporate Rock, Undertaker vs Mankind in the infamous HIAC match at KOTR '98, etc. So much greatness and the fact that the main event scene was pretty damn dry at the beginning of the year and yet they still managed to produce one of the strongest booked main events in history is even more impressive from a booking POV.
  14. 1996 or 2010

    For me it's 2002 or 2004.
  15. I want to say 2004-2005 :hmm:
