Wrestling fans around the world have been buzzing since the announcement that New Japan Pro Wrestling stars will be appearing on four Ring of Honor events. The first two nights will be “War of The Worlds” and will take place Tuesday May 12th and Wednesday May 13th, 2015 at the legendary 2300 Arena, deep in the heart of South Philadelphia.

Standing Room Only tickets are on sale now, for info on how to purchase click HERE. The 3rd and 4th nights will be “Global Wars” on Friday, May 15th and Saturday, May 16th at the historic Ted Reeve Arena in Toronto, Canada. Tickets are still available for both nights in Toronto but they are going fast!

Here are a few more history-making match ups for War of The Worlds Night 1:

THE ADDICTION VS THE KINGDOM (MICHAEL BENNETT AND MATT TAVEN W/ MARIA KANELLIS) VS THE YOUNG BUCKS

Talk about a dream tag team match! The current ROH World Tag Team Champions face the current IWGP Heavyweight Tag Team Champions and the former ROH World and IWGP Junior Heavyweight Tag Team Champions.

When Daniels and Kazarian showed they were the driving force behind the KRD, they not only shocked the wrestling world but set into motion a series of events that now find them more hunted than ever. Not only are they the new ROH World Tag Team Champions but they also face off against the unit that was blamed for the KRD for months: The Kingdom.

Bennett and Taven are at the top of their game, recently capturing IWGP Heavyweight tag team gold over the Bullet Club’s Anderson and Gallows. Don’t think fellow Bullet Club members, the Young Bucks, won’t be looking for retribution for their stablemates.

The Young Bucks also want to get even for the controversial loss to Bennett and Taven on Ring of Honor Wrestling TV caused by the KRD, which we now know was Daniels and Kazarian. The high-flying showboats not only will look to steal the show but get revenge as well!

“UNBREAKABLE” MICHAEL ELGIN VS TETSUYA NAITO

Michael Elgin has a mission. His ultimate goal is the ROH World Championship and apparently nothing is going to stand in his way. After putting his hands on ROH Matchmaker Nigel McGuinness at the 13thAnniversary PPV event, Elgin’s future appeared cloudy but his path back to the top may be bringing out the best in the former World Champion.

Elgin’s “take no prisoners” attitude has seen him challenge War Machine to a Handicap Match and look to destroy the Briscoes. Now every NJPW wrestler has a target on them as well. Tetsuya Naito makes his ROH debut against a very aggressive competitor.

Naito comes to War of the Worlds with a tremendous background and future. In 2013, he won the prestigious G1 Climax tournament, defeating Hiroshi Tanahashi in the finals. The former NEVER Openweight Champion has had a taste of main event success and is looking for more in this first-time-ever matchup.

reDRagon vs HIROSHI TANAHASHI AND JUSHIN “THUNDER” LIGER

The former ROH World Tag Team Champions face two of the greatest stars in the history of NJPW. It’s a dream match of dream matches and it happens in Philadelphia on Night 1 of War of the Worlds.

reDRagon was on top of the world, garnering praise and press as the number one tag team in the world when they were upset for the titles by The Addiction. But while the loss stings Fish and O’Reilly, they know a win over two of the highest profile stars in the world solidify their place at the top of the tag team world.

Last year at Global Wars, Tanahashi and Liger teamed in a win over Nakamura and Jado. These long-time friends look to make it two-for-two at ROH/NJPW events. Both Nakamura and Liger are household names and icons in the industry and US fans have the chance to see them live!

reDRagon is in the conversation of who is the best tag team in the world and facing two of best is the perfect test for Fish and O’Reilly.
