Rusev (c) vs. Jack Swagger for the United States Championship

Gold and Stardust vs. The New Day on the Kickoff Show
  2. lol Ziggler for the IC
  3. Yeah... Pointless, we know. :sad1:
  4. As for the name, I think they're taking some inspiration from PWG. Like "Free Admission (Just Kidding)"
  5. I'm trying to guess what the other two filler matches will be, I'm going to say Goldy & Stardust vs A New Day (Prlly Kofi & Xavier).. and then there has to be some diva's action so I'll go with.. Female Wrestler #1 vs Female Wrestler #2?
  6. Gold & Stardust vs The New Day is happening 100%. Should be a good one.

As far as the divas match goes, I'm not really interested... But I think they'll be doing a rematch from SS, being Nikki vs AJ Lee.
  7. SEScoops is reporting that the main roster is really motivated to NOT get completely outclassed by NXT.

Shame the writing staff can't take the same approach, lol
  8. Well, main roster should try and top the NXT guys, then... Oh wait, they can't and they won't.

Why should the writing staff try something different, FFS? RINSE, WASH, REPEAT. That's WWE's mantra, bro.
  9. D'Z put it best, they can't make chicken salad out of chicken shit. We're comparing a show main evented by an epic conclusion to a story that had us all hooked and on the edge of our seats for the last 18 months to a show where the main event story is "a laptop said so"

  10. I don't know about "topping" the NXT PPV, but they can most certainly put on a very memorable TLC PPV and walk away happy with themselves regardless. Cena/Rollins, Ambrose/Wyatt and Harper/Ziggler all have the ability to be **** matches at least as long as all the men involved are willing to put forth full effort and the bookers do their job equally in part as well. The Intercontinental Title match could especially be a classic since it has the luxury of being a ladder match and you have to try hard to fuck up a ladder match.

As for the rest, the Tag Team Title match could be good and end up much better than expected, Rowan/Harper could be a decent big man match and maybe they even have a special spot planned involving steel steps (I doubt it), and Ryback and Kane brutalizing each other with chairs should be fun to watch. I'm expecting Rusev and Swagger for the United States Title to be added to the card as well.
  11. I think you're really overestimating this PPV.
  12. Why? Just because I don't automatically write it off as shit and vastly inferior to NXT's PPV before it even happens?

TLC is usually a very good show. I mean, I've only ever watched two of them all the way through (2011 and 2012), but they were both excellent shows and the inaugural TLC from 2009 looks like a great show on paper, too. This one can easily shape up to be a very good PPV all the same. Like I said, the top three matches (Cena/Rollins, Harper/Ziggler, Ambrose/Wyatt) all have the potential to end up within the **** range if they're willing to put forth the effort, and the rest of the card can be at least pretty good as well.
  13. I'm looking forward to see only 3 matches, Rollins/Cena, Ziggler/Harper, Ambrose/Wyatt. I think the IC title will steal the show, or hopefully the main event.

  14. I think TLC can be a very good PPV match quality wise, but the booking automatically takes it down.

  15. K, I just bet 16K on Cena, that mofo had better win!

  16. TLC 2009 was a good show, seem to remember loving the Christian/Shelton ladder match when I was getting into wrestling. :emoji_slight_smile:

It depends on how you look at these matches I suppose. If you and @Stopspot (tagging him because his opinion on this show would be really interesting) really want to look at it from a wrestling standpoint, there's no reason the wrestlers themselves shouldn't deliver. The question is... whenever there's a PPV that you feel like is lacking going in, crowds are silent, there's little "Man, I hope this guy wins!" factor... Most of our issues stem from that. Maybe Ziggler and Harper will kill it in the opener and there's a few surprises along the way - feels like there is at every TLC - and keep the crowd into it...

Maybe they'll be as into Rollins winning tonight as I will be. Fuck Cena/Lesnar V.
  17. @Tsar update please...

Rusev vs Swagger US title match added to main card..

New Day vs Stardust/Goldust added as kickoff match..

and the Divas title match between AJ and Nikki (main card)...

  18. Yeah, the angles going into the show have been mostly lackluster, but I'm just eager to see this year end and the new one begin and for the build for the Rumble PPV to start, and as long as this one final PPV of 2014 delivers in terms of match quality, I'm content. After all, it's not like I'll be paying anything to watch it anyway. :emoji_slight_smile:

Also, just to be anal, it would actually be Cena/Lesnar VII since they wrestled twice on Smackdown in 2002/2003 on top of the subsequent PPV matches that they had later on. But that aside, I'm also hoping for Cena to lose his title shot and am even slightly optimistic that it'll happen. Raw tomorrow night is prepping up to be a big show, and having to crown a new #1 contender would only add to that. However, my faith in Cena losing matches that I want him to lose has rarely been rewarded, so...

  19. Seem to remember Cena losing a lot of tables matches.. for what it's worth, lets go back and look at his match history, shall we?

vs Ryback, Raw, 2013: Win (I don't even remember this)
vs R-Truth, Raw 2011: Loss (Pipebomb)
vs Randy Orton, Raw 2010: Loss (This was clean iirc, really cool reversal finish)
vs Sheamus, TLC 2009: Loss (Botched finish or not it still counts)
vs Coach, Raw 2007: Win (lol)
vs Carlito and Chris Masters, teaming with HBK, Raw 2005: Loss (WTF)

Technically that's 2-4 all time in Tables matches for Cena
  20. We can screw what the history says when it comes to SuperCena. He will win, I am sure about that.
Because it doesn't make sense to give Cena's #1 contender's spot to Rollins while still having the briefcase.
Hell, it didn't even make sense to book Rollins/Cena in the first place, but that's just WWE's thing, I guess...
Plus, I bet 16K on him, so that mofo had better win!
